Magic Kingdom visitors can now say goodbye — dare we say “aloha”? — to long lines for its popular Dole Whip dessert. Walt Disney World has expanded its Mobile Ordering program to include the Adventureland counter that serves the pineapple ice cream treat.
Using the My Disney Experience app — the platform that showcases FastPass+, park maps, schedules and other information — guests can now order a Dole Whip from the Aloha Isle location in the theme park. Also available there are pineapple floats, a pineapple spear and pineapple juice.
With Mobile Ordering, customers go to the restaurant and use the app to signal that they’ve arrived. There’s a designated spot for food pick-ups, allowing users to bypass the queue. Payment is prearranged during the for Mobile Ordering registration.
Disney debuted the system this spring with the opening of Pandora — The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. Since then, it has expanded to select other restaurants in its four parks and at Disney Springs, the shopping and entertainment complex.
Participating are Aloha Isle, Casey’s Corner, Columbia Harbour House, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, Lunching Pad, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Pinocchio Village Haus at Magic Kingdom; Electric Umbrella and Liberty Inn at Epcot; ABC Commissary, Backlot Express, Fairfax Fare, PizzeRizzo, and Rosie’s All-American Cafe at Disney’s Hollywood Studios; Flame Tree Barbecue, Harambe Market, Pizzafari, Restaurantosaurus and Satu’li Canteen at Animal Kingdom; and D-Luxe Burger at Disney Springs.
