Here's a tactic we usually use for Fastpass. Get a Fastpass for one of the major rides at
MK right off and do some other stuff nearby till it runs out. If you get there right at opening get a FP for SM and then ride Big Thunder, or the same with Space Mountain and Buzz. It works pretty well for us, in Epcot get one for MS and then go right on Test Track right away.
