The FASTPASS ticket distribution works this way: You may pick up one FASTPASS ticket for a FASTPASS attraction. You only may pick up another FASTPASS for any other (or the same) FASTPASS Attraction after A) The first printed return time on your current FASTPASS ticket has passed, or B) Two hours after you received your first FASTPASS ticket, whichever one of A) or B) comes first. Additionally, I'm assuming all WDW parks are on different networks (I know DLR's system much better), meaning you should be able to hold a FASTPASS for two attractions at two different parks at "the same time" (ie: bypassing A) or B) ).
Usually, FASTPASS will lower your wait time for the attraction to 15 minutes or less (depending on attraction operating statistics, other variables). The FASTPASS Return line is usually favored over Standby at Merge, as you have virtually been waiting in line longer than Standby (in most cases).
