IDD that no one ever sits down at the shows, except for those with seating. Aside from it being uncomfortable, your clothes would get pretty nasty from sitting where all sorts of folks have walked, spilled stuff etc.
As for it being a "children's show", I for one am sick of people using their kids as an excuse for having bad manners and ill behavior. Frankly, it isn't my responsiblity to make sure that someone's kids have a good time and honestly, I don't care if they do. The onus for that is on the parents. If I can make your day a bit more pleasent by having your kid stand in front of me at a parade or show while not obstructing my own view or the view of those around me, most of whom used the good sense that god gave them to arrive in time for a good spot, so be it. No big deal. But to expect others to inconvenience themselves so that your kids can see, meet the characters and grab a photo etc., is the height of rudeness. If someone wants to be sure that their kids have a great time, then that someone needs to get on line or to the stage area early. Every person in the park is there to enjoy their day, not to kowtow to the needs of others and their kids.
Just to wind up this rant, the show isn't a "children's show." It's a show for all to enjoy, regardless of age.
And don't even get me started on strollers.........
