Best time of year for Disney Cruise?

I am sure this is not the first post asking this question, but I am looking for some insight on planning a 2009 DCL 4 night cruise. My daughter will be 4 and my wife and I are in our early 30s. We are very conservative and like quiet and calm. My daughter loves the characters and we make every attempt to see as many as we can. Low crowds are a must.

Thanks for your help!
