Just wanted to update this thread, and maybe stinkerbellsmom can do the same.
The more I thought about my involuntary flight change the more it bothered me. So I called AirTran and told them the flight change really didn't work with my schedule and my dinner reservations that had already been planned.
The customer service lady was FANTASTIC! She changed my husband and I to the next available nonstop flight that day and now we get an extra HOUR of Disney instead of losing the 45 minutes the schedule change would have cost us.
I'd suggest anyone in the same boat do the same thing and contact your airline customer service.
