Cool Excursions

Does anyone have any suggestions for the excursions while on a 3 night cruise, would you even bother? Just curious for my trip next year? Thanks.

If you are asking about Nassau, my suggestion is to stay on the ship and enjoy a virtually empty ship all to yourself.

In Nassau, I would head for the Yellow Boat tour (if you don't have young children) it takes you out to Paradise Island and you can spend time on a private beach that has so much salt water that nothing lives on or near this beach - thus giving you the everlasting swimming pool view - clear water as far as you can see. On the way back there is free rum punch and a calypso band, limbo competitions and more! It's really fun and only about $30 per person!

Have fun!

My other idea would be to take Mikelan6's idea and skip the excursions and enjoy the ship to yourself!

Nassau in itself is dirty and poor. Not much fun. But the surrounding small islands are gorgeous!

OR... take a taxi (aprox $7 per person) to the Atlantis hotel - look around, swim, enjoy the casino... there's tons to do and it's a gorgeous resort as well!

HAVE FUN!!!!!

I would have to agree with the general consensus here. Nassua is really not a very nice place to visit, particulary right around the wharf area. Even worse if you have kids with you.

We looked around for a sec...then headed right back to the ship. Yes, it was much better, and the decks were with much less traffic. We enjoyed the pools with little to no people around.

If I were to do an excursion, I would do a trip to Atlantis.

Thanks!

Thank you for all the suggestions, we are traveling with a 6 and 3 year old so maybe we will just stay on the ship or do the Atlantis, the aquarium looks beautiful! I just looked it up online.
Thanks again Holly

The Atlantis IS awesome! But, you can only see about 1/10 of it as a guest not staying at the hotel. It is still definitely worth a visit though. (I actually just bought 2 time-shares there I liked it so much)

Yeah there is a ton to do and see at the Atlantis - they give tourists a brief overview - but if you've ever stayed there - you realize there is much more to be discovered! Kids love it though! And mom and dad can enjoy the casino!

But overall - we usually just stay onboard and enjoy the ship - (mom - get a spa treatment that day - you have your pick of times b/c the ship is empty)
