Question Castaway Club - what is it?

Hi guys,

We are preparing to book our second Disney Cruise, and I noticed on the website a mention of castaway club. Does anyone know what this is? I suspect it may be something for multiple cruisers. Any info would be greatly appreciated (as always)!

Re: Castaway Club - what is it?

I did a little research and I think I have an answer for you .
The Castaway Club is for the the people that have already taken a Disney Cruise . When you wish to take another cruise you will find many perks that come along with this , such as priority seating for dining , planning for your trip , and a gift .
From what I read I found quite a few other perks that go to the frequent sailor !

You are welcome.
Also , try Disney's main site for answers . Just put Castaway Club in the search box and it will direct you to the club page .

Re: Castaway Club - what is it?

Castaway Club is GREAT!!!

Once you sail with Disney Cruise Line one time, you become a Castaway Club member automatically and the benefits kick in on your next cruise.

1. Castaway Club members are able to check in through a specially designated line just for them in Port Canaveral. This line is always shorter than the regular check in lines.
2. Castaway Club members receive a special gift in their stateroom upon checkin. I've been on 7 Disney Cruises (just got back from my most recent cruise a couple of weeks ago). The gifts can be different each time, but here's a run down on the variation of gifts that I have received.
- Castaway Club Beach Towels
- Castaway Club Beach Bag
- Castaway Club Beach "goodie bag" that included sunscreen, plastic Disney Cruise Line cups, mesh bags for carrying wet bathing suits, wet wipes, etc
- Castaway Club Exclusive Pins
- Castaway Club Lanyard's for carrying your Key to the World card
3. A special private Castaway Club reception while on board that includes a grand buffet of finger food and complimentary drinks.

Those are the big benefits that I've experienced. Hope that helps!

Tara

Re: Castaway Club - what is it?

hey that sounds pretty cool! i guess thats a perk to keep people coming back as aposed to inside the park where they book all the time..... I wish they did that for all guests in WDW.

We have three Castaway Club members and 2 first timers in our party. Any idea whether we would all be able to check in through the designated line (we are all one party)?
