| Re: Can anyone tell me the difference...
I can't seem to find the plans for the cabins on the Disney cruise ships, so I can't tell you the difference between a category 5 and a category 6.
I can say that if one is suspectible to seasickness, the higher up you go the more likely you are to feel the wave motion. The same applies the farther forward you go toward the bow, and the farther aft you go towards the stern. The ship is most stable amidships on the middle decks.
Other then that, the greatest difference is probably in the price of the cabins. The higher up you go, the more expensive the cabins become.
Yes. After going through my lit on DCL, I think I can now tell what is different between a category 5 and a category 6.
Category 5
Size: 268 sq. ft.
Location: Deck 7, except forward.
Sleeps 3. Some sleep 4.
Cost: $70.00 more than category 6.
The cost is probably out of date, and maybe more or less than that now.
Category 6
Size: 268 sq. ft.
Location: Deck 6, except forward
Sleeps 3. Some sleep 4.
Cost: $70.00 less then category 7.
Thus, the only two differences between the two categories are their location and their cost.
