Info please on Pirate Night

Hi all,
I'm just trying to plan ahead for our cruise in April of 2007.
Now that it's the day after Halloween, the costumes should be on sale.
Should I be looking to pick up some pirate costumes for the pirate night.
(I believe it's Tuesday night, we are doing the Eastern 7 day)

Or do most of the guests just wear the headband or other very little pirate theme clothing?

Thanks in advance
Jeff

Re: Info please on Pirate Night

Jeff, when we went on the cruise during Pirate most people just wore the bandanas supplied by them, but dressing up to fit the part more could be fun for your family, basically it's up to you.

Re: Info please on Pirate Night

Yeah, it's up to you, but my cousin said that full costume was much more fun but not many guests did it. I hope that you do!! Sounds like it would be a great evening!! Have fun!

Re: Info please on Pirate Night

I have only worked for the cruise line for about 3 weeks now, but so far on our pirate nights we have had quite a few people dress up as pirates. If you come in full costume you will fit right in, no worries! You CAN just wear a bandana but a lot of our guests get into it and everyone has a great time. Everyone dresses up at least a little. A lot of our crew will be dressed as pirates as well! If nothing else you should go all out for the pirate deck party on deck 9. It's a lot of fun.

If you dress the part it is all the more fun. It is fun but dress up if you want to make the most out of it.

Re: Info please on Pirate Night

There is a Pirate night on the 3 and 4 day cruises. As for dressing up... it is a little funny when a grown man shows up in full Pirate garb (I've experienced this), BUT if you are a family with children - go for it!

Mickey Re: Info please on Pirate Night

The Pirate night is held in the restaurant you are assigned to that evening, which, if I remember correctly, is the second night. The waiters dress like pirates and you are given a bandana to wear. The characters are also dressed like pirates. That evening they have fireworks, too!

The Pirate Party is held on the Pool Deck (Goofy's Pool), but dinner that evening is themed around this and (I think ) all the restaurants offer the same menu, which has a Caribbean theme. You just go to your scheduled restaurant that night. The menu is written on what looks like a treasure map (at least it was in 2004!) and can be a keepsake. You will be given a bandanna to wear (or not) and the characters and CMs (including waiting staff) are in pirate outfits. Great fun!
