My fiance and I have arranged to marry on the 7 day Western Carribean cruise in March 07. My 10 year old daughter will be with us so it will be a combination wedding/honeymoon...well, sorta/vacation. Has anyone else married on a Disney Cruise? If so, do you have any advice or recommendations for us? We have 'done' Disney many times before and have also done a Disney cruise once before so when we began discussing marriage I said 'the best thing would be for the three of us to get married on a Disney Cruise'. We are all very excited about it and can't wait. My only concern so far is that the wedding planner said that the salon on board the ship will not allow children so my daughter can't get her hair done for the wedding. I am thinking about going to the salon and begging them to do it. Thank in advance for your advice on the wedding onboard the ship.

Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding! I can't think of a better place to get married. I wonder whether it might be worth contacting Disney Cruise Line directly to ask about getting your daughter's hair done. I know that children are not allowed in the spa, but didn't know that applied to the salon too. Good luck! And have a great time.

As ladylilo said, I recommend definitley contacting disney cruise line directly and inquiring personally on a bend to this rule as it is your wedding day. That's crazy though!! It's your wedding!! And she is 10, not 5... some of disney's rules are just crazy....
And congradulations, make sure you have a fun time

Thank you all for your replies. I will let you know what happens with the hair problem. Has anyone been married on a Disney Cruise? I just wonder how it all sort of works out. I mean, I know it will be great....they do everything without flaw...it would be nice to hear from someone who has 'been there and done that' you know?
I'd really push the matter if I were you. After all, they make you pay for an adult ticket for a 10 year old at the parks so why not consider her an adult on the cruise lines. I'd argue that point and make sure you have a great day at the salon getting your hair and nails done together. I know there's nothing my 10 year old daughter would rather do then spend the day having her hair and nails done with me.

The wedding was absolutely fabulous! I just wanted to let everyone know in case you know of anyone who is thinking about doing this. Disney was, as always, perfect. Everyday there was a gift in our room...Fairytale Wedding robes, cheese and crackers, chocolate dipped strawberries etc. The wedding coordinator went above and beyond. The photographer was so talented. The salon sent the hair stylist to my cabin to do our hair since my daughter was not allowed in the salon. The wedding cake was so big it would have fed at least 30 people and it was gorgeous! The flowers were to die for. I couldn't have asked for anything better. If you are considering a Disney Cruise wedding do it! I am so glad I did.
I'm glad you had such a great day, it sounds perfect. Many congratulations and hope you have a wonderful life together.
Love
Donna
