We are going for 4 nights in May and my group (9 people from age 7-66) is wondering what the minimum dress requirement is for dinner? Are the men required to wear pants or are dress shorts okay? Are women okay in pants or do they have to wear a dress? No one in the group is in to formal and they're a little panicked because they have read that one night is formal. Is this true? What are your options if the guys don't want to wear a tie on vacation?

Hi there, havent been on the Wonder but the ones i have been on generally have had a formal night or two, sport jacket shirt and tie for men, nice dress or suit for woman, normal dinner nights are usually dockers and a nice dress shirt. i really havent havent seen shorts or tee shirts at dinners.

We've been on both ships, once in Jan and once in May. You do not have to dress formal in any of the dinning rooms (you can if you want to). Men can wear nice slacks (ie dockers) and a collared shirt. Women can wear dresses or slacks. No shorts for either. If you were to take advantage of the $10 small up charge to dine in Palo's, you would be asked to wear your dressier clothes, as this is an Adult only dinning room.
I hope this helps, Pam
Thanks for the info. Pamela, do you remember if there are irons in the staterooms? Do you have kids? If you do did they join in any of the programs? What did they like best?

Re: What is the dress code on Wonder?
There is a suggested dress code for the dining rooms, pants and collared shirts for the men, but I have seen people come in PJs (adults included), although not very common. There is a Captain's night and some people will wear tuxedos, so I would suggest wearing slacks that evening.
In Palo, you must wear pants and no tank tops.
Irons can be found in the laundry rooms, but note that there is not a laundry room on each floor.
All in all, no matter what you wear, you will definitely have a good time!

They have 1 dress up night and if you go to Palo, you need to dress up there too. They also have a Pirates of the Caribbean night and you dress accordingly. You see people in pirate attire and also Caribbean attire.
We pretty much dressed like what we would wear to church and we were fine.

My dad and brother were the same way. We went on the 3 day back in July when it was hot out and they did not want to wear pants. We asked if it was allright if they didnt and Disney basically said it was find they just put those rules in and they are not mandatory. They wore polo shirts and nice dress shorts and they looked just as good as everyone else. They arent going to kick you out of the dining room haha they told us we want you to have a good time and be relaxed and thats exactly what we were. I mean I wouldnt go wearing gym shorts or anything but nice shorts I think are fine. Have awonderful time though! I'm going a 4 day in July again!!!

Having been on a few DCL cruises, just thought I'd let ya'll know that the Palo fee has gone up to $15.00 per person now.

As far as PJ's are concerned...some Meet Groups organize a "Pajama Breakfast" and they get together in their pjs for fun.

You will see more people dressed up on the Magic than on the Wonder. On the longer cruises, they have a Semi Formal and a Formal Night. If you're not too crazy about getting "dressed up" there's always the option of going to Beach Blanket Buffet. They serve buffet during the day and regular table service for dinner. Not too sure what nights it's open on the shorter cruises. Shorts are also allowed in the dining rooms in the daytime. Just don't stress out over what to wear. I've worn a nice pair of black capris, white blouse paired with jewelry and a dressy sandle and felt quite comfortable. One suggestion, bring a sweater as it does tend to get chilly in the dining rooms and theater.
