Disney cruise wedding

Hi, I'm planning to get married on the disney wonder in september 08. I've never been on a cruise before so I'm a little nervous about how it all will work out. I'd be really interested to hear from other people who have been married on a disney cruise to hear out their experiences and any suggestions they may have. We're planning on getting married onboard, and have family coming from both the states and sweden(my fiance is swedish), not to mention i'm a little worried about my mom getting sick on the cruise (she tends to have motion sickness). Any comments or suggestions from others experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Disney cruise wedding

First off congradulations on getting married and I think it is wonderful that you are planning on doing so on a Disney Cruise Ship how completely cool!

I'm not sure how much help I can be to you because I have yet to take a DISNEY cruise although I have been on 5 other cruises...to Mexico and the Caribbean

My experiences on them have all been very pleasant ones in fact other then the many beautiful views at WDW the view you have during a sunset or sunrise on a cruise ship out in the middle of the ocean is one of the most amazing and romantic sites you will ever see that's my opinion anyway...

As far as your mother getting sick... they say you should focus on the horizon line to help ease your stomach. And DONT lay down that can cause you to get even worse depending on how far along you are sick already!

Couple things I have learned from my trips are #1 if you happen to be staying in a lower cabin where there is a porthole in your room and hit rough seas DONT look at the water in the porthole it will make you very nausea #2 I'm not one for taking medication and I have a pretty solid stomach but, if you aren't like me and are worried take something that will stop you from getting sea sick. Being sea sick can ruin an entire trip and really is the worst! #3 the one thing I always make sure I do is find time for myself to relax .... there is always SO much to do you tend to forget to just chill out, it can be very over whelming, take sometime for yourself to relax and take in all that is happening so you don't overload! And last but never the least HAVE FUN!

Re: Disney cruise wedding

Oh wow! What a dream come true! We absolutely love Disney Cruise! Love, love, love it!!!!!
The rooms are way nicer than most cruise lines and the dining rotations are really neat. The entertainment is top notch if you are a Disney lover!
You cannot go wrong with a Disney Cruise!!!!

Thumbs up Re: Disney cruise wedding

Hi Laguz,

CONGRATS!!!!! The wife and I were married on a Disney Cruise five years ago this month

This was our third Disney Cruise and we were treated great. They left a few wedding gifts in our suite, Mickey & Minnie cake top, watches, Chocolate Strawberries and a bottle of Champagne.

I thought this was a perfect way to join our hearts together , Honeymoon, Cruise to various locations, and Hang with Mickey & Minnie.

We invited 14 family members with us to share the occasion, and we all had a great time.

We captured a great photo with Mickey & Minnie together. They also were dressed in a black suite and white dress. An awesome memory

Wishing you the best

Anthony

Re: Disney cruise wedding

Grattis till bröllopet! I've always found that ginger/ginger candy helps with seasickness (or other magsjuka for that matter)
