Many guests who visit the Walt Disney World Resorts utilize the Disney PhotoPass service. PhotoPass offers pictures with Disney characters, at many Kodak Picture Spots, some restaurants and even portrait services. It is the perfect way to preserve your memories and have your entire party in the picture – instead of always leaving someone out to take the picture.
This past month Disney’s PhotoPass has experienced two changes. The first change was in the price in purchasing your vacation photo CD. The cost is now $150, an increase of $20 from the original price. Remember, if you pre-order your vacation CD before you arrive at Walt Disney World you will save approximately 20 percent. To pre-order your CD visit www.disneyphotopass.com. Purchase of your Disney PhotoPass CD includes all rights to reproduce and distribute photos taken by a Disney PhotoPass Photographer.
The second change is the addition of a Disney Stock Photo Gallery CD, which includes a variety of Walt Disney World photos. Cost for this product is only $39.95 and includes over 300 hi-res images from various locations throughout Walt Disney World. Many of the photos on the Photo Gallery CD are not available on the PhotoPass website. When you purchase the Photo Gallery CD you will have unlimited personal use of the images. You will not have the rights to distribute photos on this product.
Re: Disney’s PhotoPass experiences price increase and new product availability
I was not impresed with the photo cd on our last visit but was going to give it another try, not so sure now with the price increase, sounds to me like even pre-ordering the cd will still cost more than I think it was worth.
Now on the generic CD, that might be worth $40 to me rather than the photo cd, but do you have to buy the photo cd first then are allowed to add the $40 one? I guess I will be finding out soon.
