Question Pal Mickey

Does anyone own one of these ($65)? I have a 7 year old and 3 year old and was wondering if this was a good purchase? This will be our first time at WDW. Also I have heard the clips are not very sturdy?

We bought a Pal Mickey for our 6 year old on our trip last month. The first one we got was a dud. It didn't say anything. We traded it in for a new Mickey, and he was great!! My daughter loved the jokes and other tidbits of info Mickey gave out. We used the lanyard, and my daughter carried him around her neck. It was a little too heavy to clip on her pants. We have him home now, and he still tells jokes and you can play games with him. It's a nice reminder of the great trip we had.

I bought the old version of Pal Mickey at an outlet store near my home ($30). He sits on my living room sofa. I haven't had the chance to take him to the park yet.

I have one of each, the old version, the updated old version and the new Celebration version. They have all been great and I've had no problem with the strap. I'm sure you're kids will love him

I bought one a couple years ago and just love him. I must have the old version. He's a Little quiet when you are in the parks...but I guess that's a good thing. Not Everyone wants to hear your little guy jibbering! He is here in Kuwait with me now. I figured if I couldn't Go to Disney, that I could bring a little bit with me. I want the new one too!!

We have two Pal Mickeys the original and the new one that just came out. I have an 8 year old who loves both of them. She plays with them all the time.

No problem , thanks for asking .
Pal Mickey is a high-tech plush toy that serves as a park guide and companion.
It will tell you about the attraction , parades , or just tell jokes .
Mickey can be rented or purchased at any of the parks and downtown Disney .

I have the older one, and the newer one, and I have to admit I was a bit upset when I found out the new one only says a few things new. I know Im pretty old to have one but I still wanted it, and have to say the new one is better at home than the old one is.The only new things pal mickey 2 has is, removable tux, louder voice, sing alongs, and a few other things. It doesnt say anything new about soarin, or stitch, or even its a small world. But Im still glad I bought it though.

I must let everyone know, Pal Mickey does NOT work at Disneyland. We learned the hard way, we carried him around all day waiting for that familiar jiggle, but alas nothing. He was fun to play with in line though.

Thumbs up

My husband has been using this site for a while but i have just found it this evening whilst looking for Disney info. we have just booked today to visit on the 2nd August (my countdown calender should be working). I found this thread and was thankfully reminded to take Little Mickey with us. We bought him in 2003 so i presume that he is the old version. The clip broke whilst on holiday but when we went into one of the stores in the Magic Kingdom, they told us that they do not sell new clips but gave us one from another Pal Mickey (No-body does it like Disney!!!!). The children (Age 2 and 6) can be a bit rough with him sometimes (i wouldn't mind if he only cost $10) so we will see if he is still working in 5 days time!!!!!

I heard that the older pal should still work even though they have a newer versian. Does anyone think I can ask for a new tie, I lost the one for pal 2, do you think theyll give me one like they gave you a new clip.
