Travel from LA airport to hotel near Disney
How can we get from LAX to the hotels near Disney? We are not staying in a Disney hotel (unfortunetally, they are so expensive)
I was thinking taxi, is this the easiest way?
(haha, I'm spoiled with Magical Express in WDW
)
Looking forward to our Disney vacations

Are you renting a car mini? If so when we went to LA we used the shuttle to get to and from and they were great. Always on time fast and reliable. We used e z rent a car and they were great. Hope you have a magical time planning.

I normally rent a car because I'm from Cali, but the shuttles are pretty quick.

SuperShuttle is an option. You can even make a reservation and pre-pay for it, so it's all taken care of before hand.

Re: Travel from LA airport to hotel near Disney
I can't imagine a taxi being cheap at all in LA, that's assuming you can even find one. I agree that the super shuttle or something like that would probably be easier and less expensive. I'd check those options out first, as that is a LONG taxi ride, roughly 30 + minutes and can be longer if the traffic is really bad.
Also, which hotel are you staying at? Have you checked with them if they offer an shuttle service? Some of the hotels around the area do offer that. Might be worth checking out.

Try the Airport Bus. It's always worked well for us

Re: Travel from LA airport to hotel near Disney
I would take the Disneyland Resort Express. It is much more comfortable than any of the shuttles. There are always taxis at the Grand Californian and the Disneyland Hotel, so you can easily grab a cab to your hotel. That way you are only in taking the taxi a few miles. There is also shuttletolax.com which will take you directly to your hotel, but as I said the Disneyland express is more comfortable and will get you there much quicker.

Thanks :-)
Do we have to make a reservation for the Disneyland Resort Express?
We are thinking about staying in the Howard Johnson or Candy Cane Inn, both are very close to the parks.

We got a shuttle from lax to our hotel DISNEYLAND EXPRESS it was better because we didn't have to deal with traffic... Try to get it ahead of time and round trip it's cheaper... Oh and the kids liked it to that was a bonus

Re: Travel from LA airport to hotel near Disney
Keep in mind that a hotel four blocks from the park might be more convenient than one across the street. Anaheim has a great resort transit system (ART) that picks you up at your hotel and drops you at the entrance to the parks. I think it is around $3.00 per day for unlimited round trips. After walking for 16 hours in the park it is nice to not have to hike back to your hotel.

Re: Travel from LA airport to hotel near Disney
That's right! A friend of mine just came back from a trip to Disneyland and he mentioned the ART. He mentioned that it was a great inexpensive way to the park. I guess the only draw back is that it stops at different locations before it gets to Disneyland.
- We are going in 35 days and wondering same thing. We got a week long pass for ART, and thinking the Disneyland resort express as well.
