Yes, I remember the Pan Pacific, Disney bought it and when DCA opened changed its name to the Paradise Pier Hotel. It is still in operation as one of the Disneyland Resort hotels. It is the cheapest way to stay at the Disneyland Resort. I have heard that those who stay at the hotel have a special entrance into DCA via Paradise Pier, but i have never used it. They have a 4 star Japanese restaurant in this hotel, so if that's your bag, this is the place. It is a really nice place to stay and they have definately Disneyfied the place since its Pan Pacific Days. And if you can't afford they stay at the Grand Californian then this is the way to go. Only a short walk to Downtown Disney. And you do still feel like you are in the Resort, hard to believe that it was once considered off property.
