Has anyone beside me enjoy the jungle cruise game or the pirates of caribean? I also enjoy virtual space mountain. Are there any new ones?

Re: Disney Quest

I really didn't enjoy the Jungle Cruise.

It made me too hot and the rolling motion of the "boat" made me feel a bit ill. I also found it too repetitive and thought the graphics were unimaginative.

On the other hand, I loved Pirates! We were useless at it (only 2 of us playing) and ended up bright red, sweaty heaps - but it was great fun.

We went to Disney Quest again last year but didn't stop long. It was the day after a slightly over-indulgent evening at the Epcot food and wine festival (in our case, it was a wine and wine festival!), followed by a late session in the POR bar drinking cocktails and singing along to a guitarist there (fantastic evening, even if the end of it is slightly hazy!).

Generally, I find Disney Quest a little claustrophobic, too warm and not enough variety (of the things I'm interested in) for my liking.

Re: Disney Quest

I like POTC but I am not a fan of the Jungle Cruise. There is nothing new. The took out the trucks inbetween the jungle cruise and potc. There were alot of rumors that they were going to close Disney Quest. Since they have not updated it in many years I assumed this was true. But when I went by a few weeks ago I noticed that they put a fresh coat of paint on the building and cleaned up the facade. I hope that they decide to update it instead of just milking it until death.

With that said i think that it is a great way to spend a day.

Re: Disney Quest

We went to Disney Quest for the first time last year and I loved Jungle Cruise, until I got out of the boat, tripped over the deflating side and hurt my ankle - but then again I'm clumsy! My husband loved the Pirates one! I think my favourite was the pinball one, but I can't remember the name?

Re: Disney Quest

Disney Quest's inner appearance is dismal! The place is falling apart, so they splash some paint on the outside

Isn't it closing this year anyway?

Re: Disney Quest

I didn't hear about the closing. I've been once and it's not worth going back. It's too dark, loud and too many people. Jungle Cruise was alright but POTC was much better.

Re: Disney Quest

I know that there is not an official closing date yet, but from what we hear from the CM's who work there it will be closing and be taken over by ESPN.
However if all the rumors were true it would have been closed by now.

Re: Disney Quest

We really enjoyed Pirates but don't do it often as the line is long. Disney Quest is really a place for teenage boys and mine love it. We adults usually putter around Downtown Disney while the kids enjoy DQ. They can spend hours there if we let them.

Re: Disney Quest

My good friend is actually a CM at Disney Quest, currently... for this semester. She has been working there since January, and knows "nothing" of a closure.

We spent the entire day "park hopping" with her on Monday. It's good to be friends with a CM. =)

Re: Disney Quest

It DEFINITELY needs an "internal rehab". It was the main reason for us adding the Water Park and More option to our packages. But we decided not to this trip because it is really run down.

I'm going in may so i'll see when we go down to down town disney.

Re: Disney Quest

It's cool that they have many classic arcade games there to play for free...well, after the price of admission.

I love the magic carpet ride with the virtual reality helmets! Its so much fun!

The Buzz Lightyear bumpercar/ball shooter thing was pretty cool.

If it goes down....I don't know how I'd feel...
