Has anyone rented a boat at Downtown Disney before? You can rent them by Cap'n Jack's Marina. They have different sizes, from a 2 seater to one that fits 10 people. You start off on the big lake area with a view of Downtown Disney, then go through channels by some of the Disney hotels in the area. We went on a day off from the theme parks and it was pretty relaxing.

I have not rented at that marina for years , but I know just what you mean.
The canals are a great way to spend some time.
By the way, we usually stay at POR, where there is another marina.That is the one we use.
Also, the water taxi to and from POR to downtown Disney is a great boat ride also. (And cheaper LOL!)

What kinds of boats do they have? I only have boating experience as a rider not the navigator, is there anything a total °°°°° can do?????

Not really, boats are charged by the half hour and are not that cheap.
Why not take the free water taxi? it runs every 15-20 minutes and then you can take your time.

Yes, if you want to go to DTD to shop and eat, I would also take the free water taxi.

If you want to try out your boating skills or just go for a relaxing ride, then you can rent one for a half an hour or by the hour.

They have 3 types of boats available. One just seats 2 guests, there is one for up to 6 guests, and one for up to 10 guests.

You can be a complete novice. I enjoyed it because the first time I went was my first experience driving a boat. The only requirements are that you have to be 18 or older and show either a WDW resort ID or a valid drivers license.
