Can anyone tell me if Toontown will be closed in late April and also Can you walk to Ft. wilderness from the Contemporary. Thank You

Toon town is closed now thru 2011. And no you cannot walk to Fort wilderness from the contemp. , but you can take a water taxi that will get you there.

I seriously wish they'd have left it open as long as possible. I wanted more photos of it before they tore it down.

While it is not anywhere near as big as Toon Town, there is Pooh's Playful Spot right near there. Unless they've torn that down for the expansion too but I don't think so.

I thought they were leaving toontown open untill the end of the summer. Where did you see that it was already closed?

We have a report in our news area that the construction has begun.

I will admit that parts of toon town may be open, but we do have reports that Mickey and Minnie's houses have already been moved to the entrance of the parks.
Lets hope that someone who was just there can give us a full report.

I wish someone could tell us whether they have moved the actual houses or if Mickey and Minnie simply have a new home. I'd like to see the houses up front and to keep it from feeling like they have been relocated to an alley they could actually make it look like a side street going around the Exposition Hall complete with street sign and lamp posts, etc...

Unless they have been moved since Sunday, which I guess is possible, they were still in Toontown when we were there. We went to Magic Kingdom twice last week, the last time on Sunday and they were there both times. Mickey was in his home earlier in the week, not sure about Sunday though because we didn't stop by.

Guess we'll have to find out .. I'll be there soon .. although we usually skip this part of MK .. we'll have to go over for a look.
