I saw this story on the news. Wow, scary. I'm very glad they were ok. I never trust carnival rides anymore. There is a annual county fair here in Maine and I swear the rides they use are the same ones that they had when I was a kid. Aside from the fact that the rides are set up and taken down so much it makes you question their safety but some of the rides they use at the fair here have duct tape holding things together!!! I'll pass thanks!
