If someone was going to visit the area where you live, what would be the most interesting sights to see?
They could be places that are strange, beautiful, fun, scary, or interesting in any other way.
Try to avoid the really obvious answers, like major amusement parks, and tell us about something that's less famous to the rest of the world.

All around us are sites from the English Civil War.
Oliver Cromwell was alleged to have visited the village on the way to some battle or other.
In fact we've been to the Castle Inn at Edgehill today for a drink http://www.castleinnedgehill.com/ where you can "allegedly" hear the cries of haunted Roundheads and Cavaliers at night (it was the sight of the first battle of the war).
House on the Rock http://www.thehouseontherock.com/
It is a walking tour of some of the strangest objects ever to be seen . The house itself is only a small part of the tour.
Ten Chimneys http://www.tenchimneys.org/
This was the home of Broadways toast of the town , Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne.
Many stars would spend vacations in this small town without anyone knowing who was visiting.
The house is amazing and has a history that matches that discription.

We have a lot of history around us, first I would take a visitor to the Air Force Museum. Then Carrilon Park to see the Wright Flyer and so much about the Dayton area. As well as the Wrights home tour. Then I would take them to Sunwatch Village to see the history of the local Indians.
If they came during the summer, I would get tickets to the Dragons Game (minor league baseball).
I would also take them out to the local VA Medical Center, there they would see several historic bldgs as well as the Cemetary for our fallen veterans.
Then we could travel south a bit and see Cincy as well as the surrounding area that includes a couple of our past presidents home tours.
Then for outdoor fun we could visit Carriage Hill, a place were you can experience life like the pioneers did.
This area is rich in history as well as many places to fish, camp etc.

We have a "haunted" sanitarium near here that used to house TB patients. It was actually featured in a couple of movies and is claimed to be one of the scariest places on earth. http://www.therealwaverlyhills.com/ I go there each year for Halloween. You get to tour the inside and you get to go down the death tunnel. That's where they put the deceased back when the place was in operation.
I am from St. Louis, so of course there is the Arch. Also we have a free zoo, science centre, the jewel box( a indoor garden ), history museum, the Muny (outdoor stage that runs shows in the summer, the boat house. All of this is in forest park. We also have the botanical gardens, grants farm, and tours of the Anheuser Busch factory.
