"I just don't get it!"
Name something at WDW that everyone raves about but you just don't get what all the fuss is about.
Here are two of mine:
The Rainforest Cafe. With all the interesting places to eat at WDW, why go to a nationwide chain?
The Peter Pan ride - I do like it, but it's very short and badly in need of rehab. I don't understand why people are willing to stand in line for an hour to get on this ride.

Mine are toy story mania in hs and buzz lightyear in mk. Neither are appealing to me.
As far as resorts goes the GF is my least liked resorts.
And for food the mickeys premium ice cream bar.

Space Mountain. That ride hurts my back and I am afraid that I am going to get my head chopped off the entire time. I walk out of that ride needing to stretch because I have been scrunched over through the whole ride. The only good part is the beginning.
Is the back ache problem happen to anyone else? I always figured it was because I am tall and I just don't fit right in the chair.

I agree with you on this one. The Toy Story stuff doesn't work for me. I love Peter Pan knowing it was Walt's vision. It's definately a kids ride. Some people lose appreciation of it as they get older but I'm still happy with it

I don't think anyone really likes the Stitch ride. All those people in line must be first timers!

Haha, no. Actually, I don't eat any fruit. Never have, don't have a taste for it at all.

I'm with you on that. I thought it was ok but really nothing special. I'd rather just have a pineapple juice.

The street entertainers on Hollywood Boulevard at DHS. Just not funny.
Character meets - why? I don't want to shatter the illusion but.....
And finally - The Adventurers Club (sorry!). I never found it funny, I hate interaction and I'm not in the slightest bit worried that it closed.

Re: "I just don't get it!"
Character meets always put a smile on my face, and doubly so with the kid. But, I get your point of view. If I didn't have the kid, things like the character spot and the character meals would certainly be on my "don't do" list.
However, this year she isn't nearly as into them as she was with previous years.
The one thing people rave about that I don't get is Sourin'. I mean, it's ok...but certainly not worth the length of the wait, even with a fast pass.
I also think Magic Memories and You is overrated, and I'm glad to hear they are revamping it. I like the concept, just don't like the show much.

I totally agree with you about the DHS street performers! I always run the other way when I see them.

As far as pins go, they are less expensive and take up a lot less room than mugs.
Regarding WDW restaurants, I have great restaurants back at home, but the Disney theming is what makes WDW restaurants special.
Dole Whip in itself is not so special, but it's part of our Disney tradition, so it becomes special because it says we're in the MK.

But they're not that much cheaper (and mugs are functional - lol).

You buy mugs to drink from as a daily reminder of the great time you had at WDW. Same with pins that you buy to wear. I don't get paying good money for something you're going to swap. And in doing the swap, you waste valuable park time!
Then when you get home, you just hang the lanyard up somewhere - or worse, put it away for your next trip.
I'd rather just buy the pin I want, wear it and save the hassle of trading.
I'm a miserable old curmudgeon (and that's a word that should be used more often)!!
