I just recieved the planning dvd I ordered in the mail a few days ago. Unfortunately I must have jumped the gun on thinking a new one would be out for 2008 since the 2008 prices are out. It was in fact the dvd for 2007. I know because I looked through all the literature in the dvd and only found 2007 prices.

I figured a thread like this would be just the thing to keep up with when they put the new dvd out. If anyone hears anything let us know! Thanks!

What is on the planning DVD? Is it worth getting? Is it fun to watch or just dry information?

I think it's fun to watch. It has these sections:

Overview of every park
Overview of the waterparks
Just a little bit about Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island
Overview of every resort
A section on the "Fun things for kids" (my favorite because it shows rides)
A section on the "Fun things for grownups"
A vacation planning section (I haven't looked at this section, so I don't know what all's in it.)

I may have missed something on the dvd but that's about it. You can order it for free off of Disney World's website. In fact it's on the front page right now.

i order one every year to, love to watch it and see whats new and get the low down on how they do all the new packages and whats changed on them.

Watching the planning video is another way to keep you hyped up for your up coming trip. I've ordered one for each year I can remember. A great item to have when having a Disney kick off party before going, especially for those you invite that has never gone before.

"If" they have a new planning video then it probably will not come out until December this year or January next year. but I doubt they are going to come out with a new one.

Hello! It's been a long time since I've been back to the forums! I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the 2008 vacation planning DVD yet. From the look of Disney's website, it doesn't look like there's been a change.

They are continuing the Year of a Million Dreams through 2008 so I doubt they will change it.
