MK Wishes fireworks cruise

Has anyone gone on this? I just booked and want to surprise my family. We are 6 adults and 2 children. Could not get the illumination but did get wishes. I asked if the wishes was not as popular and she told me that they have a lot more boats. We will be leaving from the Grand Floridian. Since this is a surprise, I am somewhat nervous. I want them to have a good time. Let me know your feedback. Thanks

I am sure you will have a great time. The reason MK has more boats, is the large lagoon to view the fireworks. Many tell me it is very nice and romantic.

The Illuminations show is vast, in a large but smaller lagoon than MK. I believe there are not to many safe zones to sit in a boat. Wonderful to view, but few safe spots for the viewing.

I am sure you will have a great time. Be sure to tell us about it when you get back.

thats sounds pretty cool! let us know how it is.... if you dont mind me asking what does something like that cost? Is it a personal cruise or do you book with others until they fill the boat?

I have no problem with you asking. The boat that I booked holds 9-10 people. We are a party of 6A & 2C. I you do not have that many, you could book with others. However, it is up to you to find another family. I believe it was disboards.com that I found people asking if anyone would like to go in with them. It cost me for a basic, that is no deco, they provide snacks (you cannot bring food aboard) $225. That is for the MK Wishes. The premiun is $275. The deco would be nice for a celebration of some kind. We are picking up our boat at the Grand Floridian. You could pick it up at the polynesian, Ft. Wilderness or wilderness lodge. The Illumination one is $250. basic and $300. premium. Personally, for the 1 1/2hr. that you are out there, I would take the $50.00 and spend it elsewhere. If you want to book the illumination you need to book 3 months in advance. I will post when I get back. We are booked for 11/12. I hope my family likes my surprise.
