Extra Magic Hours

Each day one of the Disney Theme Parks opens an hour early or stays open up to three hours after regular Park closing, so Disney Resort Guests* can enjoy easy access to select attractions — even the most popular ones! With Extra Magic Hours, you can make the most of your vacation time and see and do everything at an easy, relaxed pace.

If you want to take advantage of this benefit and have a Magic Your Way Base Ticket, your Theme Park selection must be the Park offering the Extra Magic Hours benefit that day. Remember, you can only visit one Theme Park per day with the Magic Your Way Base Ticket. To get the most out of the Extra Magic Hours benefit, just add the Park Hopper® Option to your ticket. Then you can go from Theme Park to Theme Park on the same day, including whichever Park has Extra Magic Hours.

To take advantage of Extra Magic Hours at the Water Parks, you must have a Resort I.D. and the Water Park Fun & More Option on your Magic Your Way Ticket or a One Day Water Park Ticket for the Park offering the Extra Magic Hours benefit that day.

Thanks for the info Ryan.

I think the extra magic hours are great at the water parks - we went early to Typhoon Lagoon last year and had done every slide before the park opened to the masses. We walked straight onto everything - great fun!

Evening hours are great too as you get a really good atmosphere once it gets dark and everyone else goes home - almost like an exclusive party!

The only part I don't like is the morning EMHs at the parks. Obviously more Disney guests than normal attend on those days which isn't a problem for the first hour (when it is just Disney guests) but then, when everyone else arrives, the park is far busier.

We tend to go out of our way to avoid parks on morning EMH days in order to avoid crowds after normal opening.

I LOVE morning EMH days!!! I can cram as many attractions in between 8 and 9 a.m., and then head to another park just as the crowds start building. There's something about being in the parks in those early hours that feels nice.

Well, I guess it depends...

If you have EMH at Epcot or MK, you can hop on the monorail. Simple! Otherwise, we usually drive because it's a lot faster than the buses.

And stop complaining about your "old age," Winkster. Compared to you, I'm senile!
