Thanksgiving Dinner?

Where should I try to make the ADR for?

My DD7 wants to go to MK the day we get to WDW (Thanksgiving Day around noon our plane arrives in Orlando). I know MK will be very crowded that day and thought Liberty Tree Tavern would be very good for Thanksgiving Dinner but I am open to suggestions and am not locked in to going to MK that day.

Thanks for your suggestions and help.

Re: Thanksgiving Dinner?

We like to go the the Thanksgiving dinner at Fort Wilderness (We stay in the cabins that week as a family). We have tried to go in the parks in years past but they are just so busy that it kindof kills the Thanksgiving mood for us. We did do the Liberty
Tree about 6 years ago and we had alot of fun once we waded through all the people in the park.

Re: Thanksgiving Dinner?

I know I'm kindof worried about the crowds that day at MK but it is our first day at the parks to maybe we'll be too thrilled to be there to care about the crowd.

Do you think Epcot will be less crowded than MK that day?

Re: Thanksgiving Dinner?

Maybe Epcot then... IDK I'm going to have to think about it.

Would I be crazy to even try to get a ADR for Cindy's that night? Might be a bit much since it is a travel day and the kids may be way too tired to fully enjoy that treat. May be best to save that for later in the trip...

I've never been on Thanksgiving, but the Unofficial Guide recommends Epcot on holidays because there are more open spaces and it handles crowds better.

Re: Thanksgiving Dinner?

We were in disney for Thanksgiving 12 years ago. We had no idea what we were in for! We had 14 people, my father-in-law arranged the trip. We arrived the day befor with no reservation for anything! My brother-in-law worked his magic at the concerige desk and got us a reservation at the restaurant at the disney institute(I don't think its there any more). The food was very fancy but served family style. The kids didn't like it much but they filled up on dessert. They had CMs dressed as pilgrims and indians, they came to each table and told their story of the first thanksgiving. It was very cool, my oldest daughter always remembers the spiced cider! After dinner I think we went to EPCOT because we were staying at the Yatch Club. I can't remember very much though.
