We are trying to plan our Disneyworld trip for 2010. We do know that we want to go during value season due to the smaller crowds. So now the questions:
Do we go in Late Jan. early Feb. or do we go late Nov?
What is the weather like in February?
We went in Feb. years ago but can't remember what the weather was like. Want to say it was mild in the 70's with cooler days here and there. Thanks for your input!

I've never been in Jan. however I've been in the first week of Feb. and the last week of Nov.
I like Nov. better, I think you have a better chance of warmer weather (pool time!). Plus you have the extra benefit of the holiday decorations and special events!
When we went in Feb. it was in the low to mid 70's at best.
We had to buy sweatshirts, and we only brought two pairs of long pants each so we had to re-wear them. We did go in the pool (it was heated - but it was hard to get out because the air was so much colder than the water) and we got lots of strange looks!
It kind of depends on when Presidents Day falls. I would avoid that week as it tends to be much busier than the ones around it. At least during the last year value season was pretty much only slightly less busy than other times it seems as far as attendance.
As Kylie's mom mentioned Nov. is nice b/c they usually have some of the holiday things going on, the weather is usually a bit warmer than end of Jan./Feb. as well. Although in Florida our winter is completely controlled by cold fronts, so it's sometimes just a matter of luck on warm or cool weather. Typically Jan. and Feb. are a bit cooler as the colder air hangs around longer than November (but it can still be relatively cold in Nov.).
If you like getting in the holiday spirit I'd say maybe opt for Nov. as Kylie's Mom mentioned.
Trying to plan our 2010 trip to Disney and can't decide on when to go. We are leaning toward the end of January beginning of February. Anyone know what the crowds are like at the time of year? How cold is it?
Thanks!

We swear by January or February, but avoid Martin Luther King Jr. and Presidents Day holiday weekends at all costs. Any other weekend in these two months should be fine. We've always been blessed by pleasant weather in the 60-80 degree range, and light crowds.

I went ahead and meged these two thread so you could get all the responses you needed in one place.
The weather in Jan. and Feb. is a mixed bag: one day it can be 75 or 80 during the day and the next day it can be in the 50's or sometimes cooler at night.
Typically Jan. and Feb. are a bit cooler as the colder air hangs around longer than November (but it can still be relatively cold in Nov.)
Cold is relative to where you are coming from and what weather you are used to. We are from Wisconsin. When we were there in Nov/Dec 2007, we thought it was beautiful weather and wore shorts everyday and only needed to put on pants/sweatshirts one night. So 60/70's for us is warm compared to Nov/Dec weather in Wisconsin, 20/30s.
My sister who lives in the southwest and my other sister who lives in Ft. Myers FL, were freezing to death and had on winter coats or multiple sweatshirts/pants.
Yes, the same very nights we were wearing shorts and perfectly comfortable and they were in winter coats and freezing!! Crazy!!!!

My favorite month to go is february. The weather is perfect and the lines are really light. We were also just there in the begining of March, end of value season and I can say it was starting to get hot. November is nice too. Good luck choosing... But honestly if I had to choose I would go with February. Have not been that time of year in a long time. We have been the first week of Dec for the past 3 yrs amd other odd times during the year, we are heading down on the 1st and I know it will be HOT! But who cares, it's DISNEY!
if you go down in the end of november you will be get benefits of seeing the parks dressed in their holiday best which it magical lol and if you dont want to battle the holiday crowds but enjoy the parks decorated for chirstmas then after that would be a great time to go. it wasnt too hot for us we live in southern ohio so it felt like a spring or summer day. i have never been in jan/feb i would imagine the crowds woulndt be bad excpet for the little holidays that has the kids out of school
do you guys know how the weather and crowds are in October

Crowds can be small to moderate in October, but they get bigger around Halloween.
The weather can be very hot and humid. Mid to upper 80s, even into the 90s.

We're planning to go in 2011 in March, is that a good month or should we try for something else? My friend is trying to save up money for the trip and so we can move our dates back and forth to accommodate her. Anyone have any good suggestions. She's a first timer! Thanks!
Our favorite time of the year is October ( Yes I know that was not one of the options) but we have traveled the last week of November as well. Suprisingly, being there the week of Thanksgiving was not as busy as you might think. And the holiday decorations are AMAZING!
