Airline e-ticket question?

I haven't flow in a long time so this e-ticket thing is new to me.

I made my reservations with Disney travel and have e-tickets for Continental, do I need to confirm with the airline directly?

The CM at Disney told me all I had to do was bring ID and check-in at the airport. Is that correct?

I can't find a confirmation number for the plane tickets.

Please help!!

Re: Airline e-ticket question?

Usually with e-tickets, you just turn up with the print out (usually and email) and your ID and that's it. They should have a record of you on their systems when you arrive.

I don't think you even need the print out (we weren't asked for it last time) although we always take it just to be sure.

It seemed really odd the first time we used e-tickets. Even now though, I still like having a proper ticket in my hand. I think I'm just old fashioned!

Re: Airline e-ticket question?

This seems odd to me too.
What print out are you talking about?
I have the travel booklet from Disney that has all the info. and I also have a print out of our reservation comfirmation.
I don't have any thing directly from Contential.

Re: Airline e-ticket question?

All we have ever needed is our drivers license. I agree with Winster however that it feels safer to take something in writing. We always print a copy of the email we get confirming our airline reservations. If for some reason you don't get an email, you can go directly to the airline website and print it from there. We have flown dozens of times and they have never asked for anything other than our ID. About the time we don't take something in writing, we will wish we had it!

Just the email confirmation you were sent Patty.

Sometimes you can download travel docs too and they MAY contain an e-ticket (which is usually just another printed confirmation) but as mscott4 says, all you should actually need is your driving licence or passport.

O.K. so you're saying I don't need anything directly from the airline - only what I was sent by Disney - right?

Re: Airline e-ticket question?

Yup - from what you say, Disney have booked your flights for you. If that's the case, I'd take along your confirmation of the flight booking from Disney (or email confirmation) and some photographic ID.

What was the per bag charge?

Last trip was AC and the one before that was out of Newark! Neither were too bad. It was $25 a bag out of Newark on CO! Not too bad! How many days will you be gone?? You can try and do a carry on for each, makes it cheap and easy! We usually end up shipping back or down or both... Comes out cheaper!

Re: Airline e-ticket question?

We will be there for 8 days!
We will each bring 1 suitcase and a carryon.
I think we only have to pay $15 per bag because we booked the flight back in April before they raised the price!

I sent an e-mail to Disney Travel re. the confirmation number and they replied today with the number. Now I can log into the Contential site and see my reservation and I can actually print my boarding passes 24hrs. before our trip! Now I can totally relax!!
