Question about schedule for MNSSHP?

Hi, all!
I'm looking at a Late September (29th-10/5) Vacation for next year. My family does NOT celebrate Halloween due to religious reasons. We LOVE MK and Wishes. That being said, I have looked at THIS YEAR's MNSSHP schedule, as sort of a 'guide' of what they could be doing next year. We want to avoid the spook and goblins at all costs. The schedule seems VERY "haphazard" in that at first they're having it only on tues, thursday, and saturday's. So I thought we'd be safe to go any other day. HOWEVER, then, later they scheduled it on Sundays, Fridays and it seems to have no rhyme or reason. My predicament is that we want to Schedule our visit to MK early in the trip and also have another day where we eat at Poly and watch "Wishes" from the beach. Do they do "Hallowishes" every time they have the Halloween party? It seems that we will be lucky if we have even ONE day during our trip that MK doesn't close down early for MNSSHP!! One other question, is do they release the dates for MNSSHP AFTER I have to book my dining ressies? What would you do if you were in my situation ?

Do you have to stay for the evening at MK?

What about staying until closing then hopping to Epcot for Illuminations? You could always do the same but in reverse to see Wishes when it's on.

As far as I know, HalloWishes is on every time MNSSHP is on.

We went during the Halloween season and also wanted to avoid it at all costs - more for health reasons than religious though (we're sick of Halloween!).

We found the early closure no problem for us - we just left early and went elsewhere (although we usually leave the parks early anyway).

I agree with Winster. I see no reason not to visit the MK during the day and avoid the Halloween crowd.
I really liked his idea about going to Epcot if you wanted to see fireworks.
I hope you can work something out.

Wow! I am such a DINGBAT! It never occured to me that I could go to MK ANY day. DUH......thanks for a SIMPLE solution. Maybe I was just assuming they do Halloween stuff all day. You guys ROCK!

It's always the easy solutions that are the hardest to think of and a fresh pair of eyes on the problem always helps.

We r going the same time this year.. We r not doing MNSSHP. So we looked at two days that seem to work which would be Wed night and sat night. We have hoppers. I would book all the dining you can. Then when you get closer and the hrs come up. You can rearrange your touring.. That's kinda what we did... We love Wishes and Fantasmic.. We had to bounce around so we could see both.. Hope this helps.

Even though there are no Halloween events during the day, just keep in mind the Halloween decorations are up all around the park as early as Labor Day.

I heard they were "Fall" decorations??! IS it a very spooky, haunted type atmosphere at MK during the day?? This would NOT work out for us..!

I don't think you will have a problem. After all it is Mickey's not so scary Halloween Party. It is mild by many standards. More of a costume party really.
