Re: Packing advice
This is great advice and the time you are doing laundry you can spend by the pool as the laundry rooms are located by the pool and down time does not hurt! As a matter of fact that is exactly what I did. Somthing I thought was "weird" to pack but I have never regretted packing was a folding laundry hamper. You get those cheap at Wal-Mart, don't open the package and then you open it when you get to your room. It gives the dirty clothes somewhere to live.

I am a classic over planner I tend to take things for every situation possible. I also sweat a lot so I tend to take outfits for parks, dinners, and if we go back at night. I find that if you plan what you are going to wear every day and just pack a few extras it seems to keep you from packing the whole closet. Make a list and stick to it

Re: Packing advice
Don't know if it's been mentioned before...but pack a soft sided collapsible bag (like a gym bag or duffle bag) for souvaniers. Breakables get packed in with the clothes, but it's great for taking back stuffed animals, clothes, etc...etc...etc...

Re: Packing advice
I guess it really depends on the age of the children and how long you are staying:
1) Ponchos or light foldable jackets like you can get at REI
2) A small first aid kit (band aids, asperin/tylonol/children's cold/cough/pain meds, spray bacitracin, and some hydrocortazone cream in case there is any heat rash, for adults I'd add some pepto tablets and alka-seltzer, just a few, but that stuff is not cheap on the parks)
3) 3 - 5 1/2 gallon size ziplock bags, 3 - 5 gallon size ziplock bags (perfect for storing pins, lanyards, pin backers, smashed pennies and pennies and quarters for the machine, and putting their autograph books and electronics in on water rides
4) Purex all in one washer/dryer sheets.
5) A portable charger. Energizer and Duracell both make them. You can see options at Energizer® Energi To Go® | Portable Chargers (not kid related, but I couldn't recommend this more. It's a great way to keep cel phones and cameras charged throughout the day)
6) Extra batteries for the cameras (specially the video camera) This way you can leave one on the charger back at the hotel while you are out park hopping, and swap daily.
7) A 500 gig or 1 TB USB hard drive to dump all your pictures/videos to nightly (far cheaper then doing a ton of memory cards, and I assume you are bringing a laptop)
8) I like to bring a pocket notebook and pen with me, and when I'm in line with the kid we'll play tic tac toe, or squares or hangman, etc...a lot more interactive then giving her my phone and having her play angry birds, and some great memories.
9) This will sound odd, but a pocket knife or multitool (like a gerber or a leatherman)...ever tried to open up the kids new toy without one? Yeesh.
10) A small blanket for the plane
Dunno if this is what you were looking for, but all these things are on my packing list when I take my kid.

Re: Packing advice
Oh, what an exciting trip this will be for them! I took my kid at 5 and 6, and this year she is going at 7. Perfect ages for park visits I think!
When packing I'd also consider some travel entertainment for the kids on the flight. I always pack a few soft cover kids books and a fresh coloring book with a small pack of crayons in my kids "carry on". (berenstain bears this year) My flight is rather short (~1.5 hours), and we normally pass it by watching a movie on my computer together (we share the earbuds), but she has used those other distractions before.
Also, I mentioned a first aid kit with medicines. I don't know if customs will have an issue with this. So, if you get a chance, stop in Orlando somewhere at a drug store and put one together. FAR cheaper than on the parks, and you never know when your kid is gonna scuff their knee or get the sniffles/tummyache.
Also, a travel pack of Baby Wipes for the park. Great for cleaning little hands and faces after a mickey ice cream!

Im only going to take 3 pairs of pants/capris (pants that can be shortened to capris if it's warmer then normal in November)
Of course I'm not going during the hot summer months though!

Re: Don't Forget! Packing Tips
Travel packet of baby wipes (great for cleaning off sticky hands at the park!)
Ziplock bags to store cameras, phones, wallets in if it rains or for water rides
An external hard drive to dump pictures and videos onto nightly (cheaper then more SD cards)
Ponchos and/or rain jackets
Purell All in One Washer / Dryer sheets (if you are planning on doing any laundry while at the parks)
Battery chargers for phone / cameras / etc.
Small first aid kid with a few common medicines, antiseptic spray, and some band aids

I love this list! Why didn't I ever think of the ziplock bags for the camera and cell phone when on wet rides especially Grizzly River Run or Splash Mountain!!

Re: Packing advice
Thank ya ma'am. Chalk it up to Boy Scouts. I pack for Disney like I'm going urban camping!
I'll be back in 10 days, and I've decided that part of my trip report will be a "what I packed" report, which I will start to reference for posts like this in the future (after noticing on this thread I've posted a lot of times).
Once it's done, I'd love to see input from who either gleaned something from it, or have advice for how to do something better next time!
