Re: Packing advice
sunglasses, camera, extra batteries, personal items, emergency rain gear, extra shoes in case it rains you want something dry, light weight sweater or jacket, it gets chilly in the AC, charger for cell phone, cell phone, I like to take bandaides, cold meds and other types of first aid stuff that I get in sample packets, just in case and becase they are expensive on site and if you are not driving hard to get if needed.
Since you are flying, check with air line as to how much you can pack, some things have limits
hope this helps some

Re: Packing advice
I agree with everything so far.
My philosophy is if I forget it I just drive to WalMart or Target and pick it up. I know, sounds to easy right. It is, don't sweat it. Some thoughtful planning before you leave and you will be just fine.
Have fun!!

Re: Packing advice
I know what you mean. I always worry about forgetting something, too! It's not so bad when you're driving because you can run out for whatever you need, but you definitely feel under more pressure when flying. I just try and tell myself, as long as I have the important things like ID, money, tickets, etc...we'll be fine! Anything else I'm sure is available when you get there. Not sure how old your kids are, but the other thing I like to have at the parks are a change of clothes and some plastic bags to put wet clothes in, just in case. If it's sunny it's no big deal, their clothes will dry..but we went one year and had a lot of rain, so they needed the extra dry clothes. Ziplocs are nice for water rides to keep anything in you wouldn't want to get wet. Happy planning!

Re: Packing advice
I always made my kids wear sturdy shoes to the parks like gym shoes, but once back at the resort they could wear flip flops or other casual shoes, so you might want to add something like that to your list.
I also pack things like toothbrush, sample toothpaste, bath gel ect in a zip bag, first is saved arguements between kids, plus it kept all that stuff in one place, they put it back in the bag and it got packed for the trip home no prob.
Call me odd, but I packed each outfit, socks, undies, top, short in a zip bag and hair ties for my daughter in one zip bag, marked the bag for each day, that way each child knew what to wear when.
OK, so I am a bit OCD, but when they were little I had them dress in a certain way for certain parks.

I definitely agree with Ziploc bags! Great for water rides and daily rain showers. I also suggest sunglasses. We take some prepackaged snacks. Things like crackers, the 100 calorie packs, etc. Those are must haves for us :-)

Re: Packing advice
I'd disagree on the clothes part (sorry!) - who wants to do laundry on vacation???

I'd take as many clothes as you can carry and your baggage allowance allows and keep as far from the laundry as possible - isn't that what you go on vacation to get away from?
I'd definitely agree with comfy shoes - although I'd suggest at least 2 pairs so you can alternate them. Less chance of blisters and it gives plenty of airing time if you get hot and sweaty feet walking round in all that July sunshine (plus of course in case you get wet on a ride or in a storm).
Bandaids for blisters, headache tablets in case you get too much sun, sun screen and after sun, sunglasses - and hats to keep the sun off your heads of course!
Other than that, it's just the same regular stuff you'd take anywhere - plus the stuff that everyone else has said already!
Oh - and our traditional pack of disposable plastic wine glasses! They sell wine in the gift shop fridge so why not???
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow
Just a dream away!

My tip for you (to which I will be using very shortly!!):
Pile your clothes on the bed, look at the size of the pile, then reduce by half!
We stay off site, so every couple of days, before going to bed we do a laundry load. In the morning before hitting the parks we hang them out in the pool area to dry up (crisp I should say!). When we get back to the villa at the end of the day, tumble the clothes to fluff up. Clothes ready to go again.
We go out light and return with our luggage packed full of our purchases.

Re: Packing advice
I agree with all that has been said but with airline baggage allowances why not lighten up on the clothes and do a load of laundry.
I like to pack a few of the Purex sheets, for laundry as it has detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheet
If you forget something, get a cab to get to the closest Walmart
When we stay at POP, I would start a load of laundry prior to getting the pool, hop out to change it to the dryer and then finish swimming when load is done

Re: Packing advice
We take a day from the parks and do laundry, first because I do not want to lug enough clothes for a long trip, second I need some downtime. So I do pack samples of my preferred detergent since I am allergic to most others. But to each their own idea on what is best to do, the added benefit is I do not return home with all dirty clothes.
My other thought was take something to journal on. You do so much each day that after a few days it can get overwhelming, so after you have come back to your room to relax, sit down and jot a few notes about the day, where you ate, what food you liked and did not like, what rides you did, what rides you would love to do again and why, what was the most memorable thing that happened that day, if you have kids, try to get them to do the same. Makes making those scrapbooks once you get home so much more simple.
So in short a note book of some kind for jotting down some memory notes.
