T-Rex and 2013 DDP

When I asked Disney Dining about T-Rex and booking a date in January 2013 they said that it wasn't available to be booked. It was possibly due to the fact that T-Rex hasn't decided whether they are participating in the 2013 Dining Plan.

I know T-Rex was new to the Dining Plan in 2012 but has anyone else had an experience like this with another restaurant. That they won't allow booking until the restaurant agrees to participate in the Dining Plan?

You might be outside of the 180 booking policy.

I tried to book it online yesterday and it was available, perhaps the system was down? X

I'm wanting to book for January 1st, 2013. 180 days before that date is July 5th so I'm well within the window.

I just tried to book for January 1st, 2013 and it still isn't available for booking.

I tried in June to book T-Rex for November and the website said that there were no tables available. I found it hard to believe that it was booked 5 months in advance for a 4:00 reservation. I called Disney Dining and they said that T-Rex has limited reservations for Disney, but you can call them directly and make a reservation (you can still use the dining plan). They gave me the number and I had no trouble getting a table!

I called T-Rex directly and was able to book for January 1st. They don't know yet if they'll be part of the Dining Plan but the person said "we must be" part of the 2013 Dining plan. I guess that isn't much to go on until the official Dining plan list comes out at the end of the year.
