The Jungle Cruise takes Guests on a grand tour of the world's most exotic
rivers in Asia, Africa and South America, in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom
Theme Park.
Set sail on a 1930s tramp-steamer tour in the untamed waters of the Mekong,
the Amazon and the rivers of Africa. Will your vessel be Sankuru Sadie or
Senegal Sal, and will she survive the 9-minute Jungle Cruise intact?
Mother Nature is at her wildest as you pass Audio-Animatronics animals
including the Bengal tiger, king cobras, elephants, lions and hyenas in
their native habitats. Whether they're feasting on their prey, scaring
trespassing humans or splashing water, the animals will keep you on your
toes.
As your skipper leads you ever deeper into the jungles past hare-brained
explorers and ancient ruins, be prepared for some surprises along the way.
Are there really piranha and headhunters lying in wait? Your skipper's sure
to regale you with humorous tales of danger.
Even while in line for your expedition, you'll see detailed Colonial
artifacts and silly communications that make this tongue-in-cheek cruise a
jungle-grade scream.

 Don’t
forget to try the remote control boats located outside of the Jungle Cruise.
They’re fun for kids and adults of all ages.
While the boats are a bit challenging to maneuver, small children still
enjoy simply spinning the wheel. As the boats move through the various
features and hazards, various elements are set off such as bubbling water,
spraying water, sounds, a volcano and more.
To use the remote control boats, you do need to have some quarters handy,
but change machines are located nearby. Each turn lasts a minute or so.
There are several umbrellas located amongst the steering wheels, so try to
find a position under an umbrella. For some reason, it gets brutally hot in
that area!
Overall, the remote control boats are a great place to stop after a ride on
the Jungle Cruise while you have a drink or snack and plan your next
activities at the Magic Kingdom.
Facts:

Ride Length =
9 minutes 9 Seconds
The Jungle Cruise is a 10 minute winding meandering boat cruise through the
tropics, along lands populated by Lions, Giraffes, Hippos, Elephants, and
other assorted audio animatronic animals. The ride was at least partly
inspired by a 1955 documentary film produced by Disney All
of the vegetation in the ride is real, some requiring considerable
horticultural attention to combat the hot Floridian summer. Hidden from
view, are large gas powered heaters, water misters, and ventilation fans
designed to maintain a consistent temperature and humidity for some of the
more tender tropical plants.
At Disneyland Park in California, the original 1955 version of the Jungle
Cruise was very serious, based on Walt Disney's True Life Adventure Series.
It wasn't until the early 1960s that the humorous vignettes were added. Hidden Mickeys: As
you are entering the Jungle Cruise stop and look at the truck parked at the
entrance. The spare tire has been placed on the front over the radiator and
the two headlights line up as the ears. The
sign hanging over the entrance has barnacles at the bottom. Under the letter
"c" in the word "Exotic" the mouse appears from the formation
of 3 of the barnacles. In
the Khmer Temple and when entering the tunnel, there is a Hidden Mickey
comprised of 3 gold platters located on the right side of the tunnel that
are under the snakes to the right side of the boat If
you enter the normal area (not Fast Pass) and queue or wind to the left
there is that center wall. If you look up on the top shelf there is a hidden
Mickey in a Mason Jar right there.
