Hi,

I was just wondering if someone could help me? Is there a bus to Sea World from Downtown Disney or do you have to get it from somewhere else? If so where?

If anyone could help, it would be very much appreciated as I have never used the bus as I have always had a hire car.

Hi, I do not know about busses transportation, but website www.mousesavers.com has great information about taxi fares.
We´ll stay onsite, and use disney transportation most of the times, so we´ll not rent a car - we´ve calculated that using a cab will be cheaper than the daily fare from a car.

I highly doubt that you will find any type of transportation from a Disney property to Sea World except for a taxi or limo. Disney wants to keep guests on their property as much as possible, if not for their entire stay. I always rent a car, so I am free to travel anywhere at any time. Parking at the parks is free if you're staying on Disney property, and this allows me to eat and/or shop off-property if I so choose. The cost of renting a car is minimal compared to the amount of time you spend using Disney transportation.

I found this on another board, and this made us choose to call QuickSilver van for the group of 8 of us for $85

Just made more sense, 3 hours travel time is a bit much?

I believe you have to get to the Ticket and Transportation Centre to catch the lynx Bus.

Lynx bus service you are looking at a 1.5 hour trip each way, it might be shorter but yo need to plan that.
Thats your time from your resort to the ticket gate at seaworld. The bus driver can't drop you at the entrance but maybe you could ask for the second stop at seaworld, I don't know if its closer or not to the entrance.
Instead of having to walk across the car parking lot you have to walk across the bus parking lot.
As for the return trip you will need to cross sea harbor blvd and board the bus on the other side of the road, there are a few stops just wait at one of the lynx signs (cat paw print).
I would also recomend checking the scheadule for the #50 and make sure that is the only bus you board, there are others that go to those stops.
