A little disappointed this morning. Just got an e-mail from Delta letting us know that out 7:45pm flight back home to NY on September 5 is now a 6:20pm flight. Luckily it won't effect any ADRs, but still its an hour and half less of Disney

Does this happen offten? I was checking my trip details yesterday and found that my Contential Flight home to NJ on 12/5 was also changed, I got lucky though they changed mine from 2:30 pm to 3:10 pm so I get a little extra disney time! I hope they don't change my flight going to disney it already doesn't land until 4:20 I wouldn't want to get there any latter.
It happened to us. Our flight was changed to leaving Orlando 4 hours later than planned. It worked out for us because we got an extra day at WDW!

Melissa, if you are really unhappy with those times and can find something better on another airline, call Delta right away. I was able to get them to cancel and refund my tickets fully when they pulled this on me. It counted as a same-day cancellation.
Delta is really going down in my estimation. I don't think I've ever seen an airline change SO many flights on people.
We used Delta each year we've gone to WDW and I'm seriously thinking about going with Southwest next time. Delta changed our flights 11 times last year! We started out with a non stop 6am Louisville, KY to Orlando and a return for Orlando to Louisville, KY but after they had changed it 11 times we ended up with a 7am Louisville to Atlanta (56 minute layover) to Orlando. And a 8am Orlando to Atlanta (1 and a half hour layover) to Louisville. I'm really sick of Delta!

Aww man that is such a bummer! One time we flew AirTran and they changed our flight time 3 times before we actually went on vacation! It's sooooo annoying!

If you have a non-refundable ticket and they change your time to something that is unacceptable is there anything you can do?
Yes. Each airline is a little different but with Delta for instance, if they change your times to more than a 90 minute difference then you are entitled to a full refund if you wanted it. The "non-refundable" part is if you change something.

Thank you GoofyDad,
I haven't been on a plane in a while, I didnt realize they changed flight times. I hope if they change mine again they make the flight going to Disney earlier and the flight comming home later!! At this point they have already given me an extra 1/2 hour of Disney.
I used to fly Delta ALL of the time, but they NEVER notified me when my flights changed. I had to check the website once a week to make sure I didn't lose my seat assignments. Once when they changed the flight, I called to get them to re-assign my seat, they changed my return date to one month later than it was supposed to be. I didn't notice until I was coming home from Orlando & they charged me $150 per ticket for their mistake! Granted- I should have checked closer, but I really would never expect a mistake like that. I am flying Jetblue this September & I am hoping to have a better experience. So far, no flight changes.
Just wanted to update this thread, and maybe stinkerbellsmom can do the same.
The more I thought about my involuntary flight change the more it bothered me. So I called AirTran and told them the flight change really didn't work with my schedule and my dinner reservations that had already been planned.
The customer service lady was FANTASTIC! She changed my husband and I to the next available nonstop flight that day and now we get an extra HOUR of Disney instead of losing the 45 minutes the schedule change would have cost us.
I'd suggest anyone in the same boat do the same thing and contact your airline customer service.
