Mickey Font, picture & photo help......7-14-04

OK, being a rookie here I need some help with some things if any veterans can help me.
1. This should be so simple but it is not. I want to change both the font & color for my messages. I am not being allowed to. Example, I would like the color of my messages to be blue. All I get when I tried to change to what I want are boxes that come up.
2. How do you get the photos from the photo gallery page to post?
3. I could not load my own photo from my computer (using my scanner & a Jpeg image) onto the site. Are scanner photos like www.pinpics.com, sometimes they do not post?
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me with these.

I would really LOVE TO CHANGE THE COLORS & ADD PICTURES.

When you click to reply to a message there is a tool bar on the text box (at the top above where you type) that you can use to take care of all of that. It's kind of like Microsoft Word.

Highlight the text you want to change and then click the options you want changed on the tool bar. The color box will drop down from there click the color you desire. The same thing applies with the font abox will drop down, from there click the font of your choice.

Keep in mind that there are a couple of different themes available (With more to come soon) to members, and depending on which theme a member is using, sometimes the colors don't look good at all. Best to remain constant and legible for all concerned.

Mickey Font, color & photo part 2

OK, per advice from MickeysGirl, I am trying this. To get the font & color to change. now, my previous thread post was closed without an answer to another question of mine being answered. I tried today to input a photo from my computer (using my scanner & a Jpeg image). Is this site like www.pinpics.com where some scanner photos will not post?

Color worked.

As stated in the previous thread, there are several themes for members to view the site, with more on the way. Due to the color schemes, one's posts look strange or muddy. It's best to remain constant with the rest of the members usage of black fonts. Using color from time to time might be allright, but to do so constantly is a little much.

As for your photo image, perhaps it is way too large for the system to accept. I suggest nothing more than 640X480 be used.

Also, your 2 threads were not closed...but merged because they both are about the same subject matter...

Thank you.

Mickey Thank you

Thank you Anim8EdCox. This thread was closed but reopened after I input part 2. My photo is a scanner Jpeg input. I know nothing about the size on it as I have no prompt or anything telling me about that type of thing. Blue is my favorite color that is why I want it in my posts. Thank you MickeysGirl for helping me with that.

Do you have an imaging system on your computer such as Irfranview or Photoshop? Something that you can resize your images? Actually...look at the images that you want to upload and tell me what sizes they are, including if they are KB or MB.

I'll see what I can do to talk you through it all.

Thank you Anim8EdCox

Thank you. I have a Cannon scanner & it says ArcSoft Photo Studio. I have had it 2 years & I have never seen anything telling me about photo size. I know you can increase or decrease the size of the photo for viewing. I have never been able to figure out how to increase or decrease the size for posting the photo. Since I am an Ebay seller this hurts me like when I have say a Disney pin up for sale because I can not increase the size of the photo for bidders to see. I always have to say sorry about that in my listings. Drives me crazier than I already am!

Okay. When you click on the image icon for the image you have scanned. I presume that it opens up so you can view it. Right?

If so, what does it say at the bottom left of the image (or top dependingon what image viewing system you have on your computer.) All computers generally have to have an image viewing system. It simply sounds like you don't know exactly what is on your hardrive.

I have to leave for a performance of Camelot, but try and see what is the situation on your comoputer with imaging. If you don't have an imaging system, I suggest you search for Irfranview, a free imaging system and download it and add it to your computer. You'll be very glad you did!

Your computer will tell you the size of your file. Just right click on the file and then click properties.
Irfan View is a handy image viewer and converter that I have been using for at least 6 years now. It allows you to view, resize and change the format of any image file (i.e. .bmp to .jpeg)
It is Freewere and you can download it here.
Image Files must be 34.2 KB or smaller in order to upload and must be in one of the following formats: .bmp, .gif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png & .psd.

Mickey Thanks to both of you

Thanks to you both. I will try it out. I just scanned a photo to load to Ebay & it showed me nothing, but will try the right click.

Mickey Followup to Anim8EdCox

Hello again. Followup to what you were telling me yesterday about my scanner photos.
OK, using the right click I see this on the photo I tried to input yesterday:
Dimensions 638 x 825
145KB
I have tried on my own many times to adjust the size of photos for posting. As I mentioned yesterday I am an eBay seller so believe me I have tried. but it never worked. I know how to zip in & out of a photo to enlarge them but when I tried to post them at a larger or smaller size they would not to the change in the posted photo.
I have several DLR photos I would like to post to the site. And, these are regular photos not digital as since I have been unemployed for 2 & 1/2 years I do not have a digital camera.
Any help you can give me would REALLY be appreciated!! Thank you very much!!

OK, a new photo question....
I have been looking at the photos & clip are posted on the site & I see people can add them to their posts.
I see the icon to add images. How can they or any photo be added into the posts? I tried but it did not work.

We keep telling you that you have to get an imaging system for your computer, and the freeware- Irfranview - is free and easy to obtain and use.

See MG's post (#12) above for the link to get it.

If you are an eBay seller, then you should have such an imaging system inorder to sell your wares with images of your merchandise.

Until you have such an imaging system on your computer, uploading images is not only going to continue to be difficult...but impossible.
