Omaka Rocka, the water slide that represents the first expansion of Aquatica, SeaWorld’s water park, is now open to guests. The attraction, which shares a loading platform with Whanau Way near the waves pools, features funnels and half-pipe action in rafts built for single riders.
The height requirement for Omaka Rocka is 48 inches.
Aquatica also has added a new ticket offer and premium cabanas. The “After 2 p.m. Pass” allows admission for the rest of 2010 after (duh) 2 p.m. Translation: After the traditional Florida thunderstrom passes. There are no blackout dates with this deal pass. Cost is $49.99 — that’s $2 more than the regular cost for an adult for one day.
“Premium” cabanas have been added between the two wave pools and they feature upgraded furniture in the private area. The amenities include an all-day locker, up to 16 beverages (soda, water, juice) and a ceiling fan. The pricing is seasonal and starts at $174.99 per day.
The new “Ultimate” cabanas also include a dining table for six, and second cabana with couch, coffee table and additional seating. The cost is $599.99 per day, not including park admission. Reservations are required. Call 800-327-2424.
