The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Magic Kingdom - Fantasyland
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train takes guests on a
rollicking, musical ride into the mine “where a million diamonds shine.” The
coaster will feature a first-of-its kind ride system with a train of ride
vehicles that swing back and forth, responding to every twist and turn of
the track. The journey is accompanied by music from the classic Disney
film and animated figures of Snow White and the Dwarfs.
The ride travels both indoors and outdoors, similar to Frontierland's major
attractions, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain. Unlike
roller coasters such as California Screamin' and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
Starring Aerosmith, this attraction is designed to appeal to a
family-oriented crowd with enchanting scenery and cartoonish
architecture. The attraction features a new ride system of
a "tilting vehicle." This new technology simulates the swaying and tipping
one would expect to experience in a mine cart.
Songs from the film, such as Heigh-Ho, are featured in the attraction.
Several show elements from the now-defunct Snow White's Scary Adventures
attraction were recycled for the roller-coaster, such as the vultures
perched above the ride's first lift hill and Audio-Animatronic figures of
Grumpy, Doc, Bashful, Sleepy, and Happy
Rock Around Like Never Before
Whistle a cheery “Heigh-Ho” because the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is rolling
into New Fantasyland!
Just like in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, make your merry way across the
rolling stone bridges and through a forest where you’ll find the Dwarfs’
cottage and all the stars from the film: Sleepy, Doc, Grumpy, Bashful,
Sneezy, Happy, Dopey and, of course, Snow White herself.
Then, grab your lantern and your map, and hold on tight…it’s time to ride
into the mine “where a million diamonds shine” on the rockingest, rollingest,
twistiest train ride ever!
Feel a rush of excitement, and enchantment too, as you take off on this
first-of-its-kind ride system: swinging up and down large lifts, cruising
across sharp banks and swaying around exhilarating hairpin turns.
So get ready to rock around like never before—there’s new kind of excitement
rocking back and forth through New Fantasyland! Don’t miss the Seven Dwarfs
Mine Train, boarding this summer in Magic Kingdom park.
The queue is part of the attraction and will help to keep everyone
entertained as you wait in the stand-by line. We matched jewels as they
floated by in a video trough. We made music by running our hands under water
at the jewel washing station. We also spun some gem barrels and were
rewarded with some Disney magic on the ceiling. Tip: get all the barrels
spinning at once for an even bigger surprise.
