I'm not bad... I'm just drawn that way ...wait wrong movie!

Well to show how the music gets into our everyday life, it seems whenever my kids and I are out and we have to walk in some kind of single file line or something, they break into "we're following the leader the leader...." from Peter Pan. Not exactly the break out song you'd expect it to be but just something that stuck with them.
And you know Iknow this thread is about the movies, But what would our ATTRACTIONS be like without their great scores!

Oh I dunno... I mean wouldn't pirates be boring without their song??? YO HO!!! and Grim Grinning Ghosts!!!! Love it...

(ok someone's gonna bash small world, but what would it be without the song??? )

And let's face it ROCK 'N ROLLER COASTER is cool with a soundtrack! (of course I'm a die hard Aerosmith fan so this just brings two of my loves together!)

Songs are an important aspect of presenting things Disney...even theme songs for television series to attractions. The songs are such an intrinsic aspect of the product that when it works and becomes an accepted "classic"...it becomes even harder to think of anything without it's theme song.

And imagine getting into the opening sequence and feel of Pinocchio without that song!

Sort of like Wizard of Oz without Over the Rainbow! (Which MGM almost cut from the film because it slowed Dorothy's entrance to the land of Oz!...Bad mistake to cut that! They're glad the didn't now!)

We're discussing disney's Musicals...and that can encompass the attractions as well as shows and parades!

The Electric Hoedown certainly causes waves of excitement to travel up the spines of anyone who loves TMSEP! (Mine is the Spectromagic parade/music!)

Cutting 'over the rainbow' would be the same like cutting 'Supercalifragilexpiexpialidocious' (..?..) or 'Spoonful of sugar'. Can anyone think of Mary Poppins without music ?
    I certainly can't !

P.L. Travers could! She didn't want Disney to turn her books and characters into cheap "Disney-Fluff"!
