I also haven't seen the original opera. Maybe when I hear the tune I wil recongnise it !
Anyway, bad or good, I would love to see the musical one time! As a matter of fact, I've never seen a broadway musical before, maybe I should start with something good then !

Aida might be your cup of tea where as something more traditional-like Oklahoma! or a juggernaut- like the Producers or dance infused- like 42nd St. might not. It's all personal tste. (And besides if anyone gets into New York for a couple of days..they should try to see as many shows as they can..it's just how most people approach it.)

I shall give you any and all info you could possibly require to make your decisions!

(And that goes for anyone here...if you're going to NY and want info on any Broadway or off Broadway shows...just ask me. I'll gladly offer as much info as I can for you to decide upon.)

LOL! Hey...it's not just a passion for me...but it's part of my career...so I have to be open to sharing any and all info I know about the subject.

Speaking of which...here's the link to Disney's official Aida section. Not that much fun there other than info and a few song clips, though.

Anim8EdCox said:Not even the opera in any form? Almost everyone has heard the famous "Triumphal March."
If I have, I didnt' know it was music from Aida.

The triumphal march I speak of is form the actual opera...not this version of Aida that's on Broadway at this time. It's on almost any general classic compilation music set.

Yup, I'm pretty much out of the loop on Aida!

Thanks! I like hearing about this stuff, I guess I just never took an active interest in looking it up before. But it does sound pretty interesting.
