So besides Aida...anyone has any questions about Lion King or B&TB on Broadway or any of the Disney films and animated features?

I wish they'd come to my town But I live in a small dinky town...

I could probably go to Chicago and catch them at some point if they travel around.
You've got to be kidding me!?

Yes Ed, I have a question ! Is it worth bying the CD of the Lion King on Broadway when you haven't seen it and when you already have the original soundtrack? I just love Lion King Music!

Yes. The differences in the songs and their presentation are remarkably different from the film version, plus the fact that they have interjected songs from "Songs from the Prideland" into the score as well. There is new dialogue here and there and they way certain songs have been "Opened up" for stage presentation makes for a whole new experience, whether seeing it live or listening to the Original Cast Recording.

And on that note...it's worth getting the Broadway B&TB for the new songs and the addition of Human Again. Unlike this cast recording, the re-release of the film score for the IMAX release with the inclussion of Human Again is a waste of time and money...as duly noted in the thread- BEAUTY IS DECREASED.

I'm creating and designing a production for this upcoming theatre season based on the Anansi the Spider tales that I'll be directing that...in no other words...is going to look sort of like TLK on Broadway. It will be different of course...but that gives you an idea of one of the things I'm up to right now. I LOVE the look of TLK and it's VERY exciting to watch! Everything is fresh and new and the Wildebeast stampede sequence it \s the most mind-numbingly incredible theatrical SFX I have seen in a VERY long time live! (The production of Disney's Hunchback in Berlin notwithstanding..which is truly a fantastic production!!!)

Hunh? Wanna re-type taht last one there Eddie?

As for Anansi...(I could folow that train of thought.)...It's not going to be available for the school tours till January of next year...but the word of mouth and excitement about the production has people buying performances for their schools already! It's really amazing!

Well, when I said I never heard of it, I was referring to the boxed Alan Menken set. What's that all about?

And with 'is there anything you haven't done that I would like to do' I meant that it seems that you do everything I've ever dreamed of, and that's great !
