Is Disneyland better in December or January?

I am going to be able to spend 2 days at Disneyland between the dates of December 16th and January 9th. When would be the least crowded time? I understand that it will be packed around Christmas time. I have never been to Disneyland but I worked at Disney World for 6 months (College Program). I get to pick any 2 consecutive days. Any tips would be great!

My last trip was during the first week of January, and there were very few people. This year, we are going the week before Christmas and I have heard that its not bad then either. I think either way, you should be okey!!

I went in the middle of January and it wasn't bad, it was more crouded on the weekend but hey I didn't care because it was 90 degrees at DisneyLand and 22 degrees at home in Seattle. Also when I was there they extended there hours on Martin Luther King day which was pretty nice because normally DisneyLand would have closed at 8:00 PM but instead it was extended to 9 or 10 PM I can't remember which one it was.

Crowds are down after the new year....but if your looking for decorations and Christmas cheer then you will need to brave the Holiday crowds.....I know....I'm late on this response, but there is always next year right?

I too shall be late in responding, but a response it shall be!

I went every week during December, and it was a lot more crowded during the last two weeks. The great thing about the first part of the month was that it had all the wonderful holiday stuff, but not so much on the crowds. Every time I went during the last two weeks Disney had a sign up that said "Disneyland is very crowded" and they eventually had to stop selling tickets for capacity reasons.

And then...I went on Tuesday and it was frightening how short every line was. And the tree was finally down. I miss the tree.

Well I ended up not getting to go. It's okay though because I start my job as a character performer at WDW in 10 days! =D (Chipmunk Height)

hi! i think disneyland is the funniest in christmas because there are fun parades where mickey and minnie come out and we can't forget about goofy and pluto .The reason why i like christmas in disney land is because it is the time to be jolly.
