    VMK CLosing its Virtual doors

It was announced, (unexpectedly) this past Monday that Disney is closing its Virtual Doors. VMK, Virtual Magic Kingdom, a free online game, will be ending this May.
So many people are sad, as it allowed disney lovers to virtually walk the Disneyland park and make memories/friends with people from all over.

I was wondering if anyone from Talk Disney that works for Disney may have any insight on this.

I feel terrible for the thousands of people (my family included) who found this virtual world to be such a great community. (imagine losing one of your favorite sites!)

Keep your fingers crossed for the VMK players
They are hoping Disney will rethink closing the game. Perhaps even offering it as a pay to play site (it is currently free)

Aww.. Thanks! I knew about the petition but i did not want to impose on anyone. All I can say is there is alot of disney fans young and old very sad by the closing.
Since you can not give out personal info on the site (this happily was a very safe family/friendly community) many friendships/bonds will be broken. This site was a great way for those who can not visit the parks to have the oppertunity to virtually walk down Main Street or ride the peter Pan ride.

Other Disney sites remain open suc as Toon Town or POTC. But these games don't offer that feeling you get at Disney. And some find them to be violent.

    Continue to keep those !
