Well I believe it will be going away soon. I hope it will be gone by my trip in June.

Re: Is Leave a Legacy at Epcot going away?

There's been rumours that Leave a Legacy will be moving for the last couple of years.

Last thing I heard was that it would move to a garden to one side of the park entrance - but that must be over a year ago.

I personally hope it does go. I like the idea of Leave a Legacy, I'd love to have one but it just looks so ugly! It's like an earthquake has ripped through Epcot and left huge slabs of rock sticking out the ground.
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow

What would you like to see in it's place? (I certainly hope no one says a plain concrete walkway)

Maybe they could add some futuristic pieces out there. Maybe an audio animatronic of someone (maybe Walt?) that would greet guests as they enter and interact with them much the way Mr. Potato Head does in TSM. They could have the figure stand in the middle/front of the area and make it a large broad walkway with those LED lights embedded in it that make out huge designs. And along the sides they could have some sort of interactive areas like what used to be in the queue line for Soarin'.

Of course I am against the majority, I like it and I love finding the tile with my kids on it. I thought the point was that years and years from now we would still be able to find a permanent memory of our visit during 2000. If they must move it fine, I can deal, but lose it all together, not so happy.

We will be there in June as well, actually 29 May thru 9 June.

I am in the minority with you, Dismom. I wanted to get one so badly to commemorate someone I love who passed away. I thought it would be so cool to visit it on every trip. But they had already stopped selling them.

Actually, that's exactly what I'd like to see. I love the open plazas of EPCoT. It's what gives it more of a modern feeling. Concrete, glass and steel. I like the old look of walking in and seeing nothing but concrete and SSE in front of you as the futuristic synthesizer music played. I remember walking in after they had installed LAL and it felt claustrophobic.
