Re: Is Leave a Legacy at Epcot going away?

We have a tile at LAL that we scout out each time we go! I wanted to get a brick when they were offered but didn't have the money so when the tiles were offered I jumped on it. Of course I'l hate to see the tiles gone permanently, but if there's a new idea for that spot then I hope they're just moved to a different location in the park. My family loves Disney ( and they're now 30,27 and 22!) And this is our little piece of Disney!

It must be fun to scout out your tile and have your names in a Disney Park! I wish I would have mine there! I hope the tile can at least be saved for you!

Re: Is Leave a Legacy at Epcot going away?

Thats is so sad, I loved it. I do not think it is any different than having a brick or any other legacy. It is nice to leave an impression and this was just another way. I was hoping that my grandkids could see it.I do not see what it is hurting that people hate it spo much but I guess we are all different. I would hope they at least put it someplace where it can be viewed again, all that did it paid money to have it done. I have 2 separate pics on there from when I took my son and then my daughter first visits and it is a memory to me at least.

I think LaL was only ever sold on the basis that the tiles would be up for a minimum time - not forever.

People who bought tiles would have been aware of this - although I can understand their disappointment if the tiles go.

Personally, I'd be happy to see the tiles stay but the ugly slabs go. Why can't Disney just put the tiles on something a little more attractive?

If they are not removing it, they could at least move it from the front of the park, it looks like tombstones .

So has LaL now gone? Does anyone know what the plans for it are!

After much discussion, it all seems to have gone a bit quiet.

I think I've read that it was a 20 year commitment. I don't think LaL is going anywhere soon...

I guess leaving LaL where it stands is cheaper than moving it somewhere new.

It is kinda ugly but it's also a bit of an Epcot institution now.

I just wish they'd start selling tiles again. Surely it'd be a good money-spinner?

My father, my brother, my uncle and I have our Leave a Legacy photos. I always enjoyed seeing it when I go to Epcot. I hope it doesn't go!
