Re: New Fantasyland expansion photos - post them here!

Our friends at Orlando Theme Park News just posted... Welcome to a new Storybook Circus update! Today we have quite a few news to share with you, therefore we will start right away by taking a look at the humongous scaffolding that has gone up all around the future home of Dumbo's interactive queue:

As you can clearly see, work is speeding up to get the area ready to open early next year:

The three-ring circus will surely look fantastic:

A look at the new circus tent from another angle:

The building that will house the new interactive queue is really massive:

A closer look at one of the two covered outdoor queues for one of the Dumbo attractions:

The new Dumbo ride is showcasing a lot of new details:

    The golden storks are new:

The base also has a lot of nice details:

Notice the typical "D" of Dumbo:

Goofy's Barn (the loading/unloading station of "The Great Goofini" coaster) is now red!:

    It looks nice:

The two older circus tents have received new iron trusses:

A closer look at the new trusses:

A lot of work is going on behind the scenes:

The new train station is coming along as well:

Also, a pathway has been opened next to the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups:

The attention to details on the concrete is commendable:

It's almost time to say goodbye to the old Dumbo (which will be reused in the new location anyway):

And that is all for now. We will have many more pictures of all the other areas of Fantasyland very soon.
Thank you very much for viewing, and have a great rest of your day!

Have they said what they will be putting in the area that the old Dumbo ride is currently in once it moves?

More from our friends at OTPN... Welcome to a major Fantasyland Update! Last week we checked out only Storybook Circus, and we saw that a lot of additional details and changes had been introduced in the area. Today we will take a look at all the other areas of Fantasyland, which also have a lot of different new changes that will surely interest you. To begin, let's check out the work being done on the Skyway:

Very good news: work on the new path has finally started!:

A glimpse behind the walls (we love to do that!):

They are already working on the concrete:

The front of the Skyway seems to be the same, though:

    A busy Magic Kingdom:

The refurbishment of Prince Charming Royal Carousel is well underway:

The tarps are not as nice as the ones seen in other areas of the park:

A general look at the old Fantasyland:

With the removal of many planters, the area look much more spacious:

Dumbo's still here, but not for long:

Work on the new Fantasyland wall is also speeding up:

    Notice the details:

One of the towers of the new structure:

Work is also being done next to the restrooms of the Pinocchio Village Haus:

Beast's Castle will certainly not be visible from the old Fantasyland with these trees (which are very nice, by the way):

Work on the foundations of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride continues:

    The Walt Disney World Railroad:

Let's continue the update by checking out Maurice's Cottage:

    Beats's Castle:

    Amazing rock formations:

Belle's Village is really taking shape:

The French elevation of this building is easily noticeable:

This should be the "Bonjour" gift shop:

    Notice the chimney:

A closer look at the arches:

And now, let's take a quick look at the Little Mermaid's area:

    Prince Eric's Castle:

    New details:

The rock work is absolutely great:

There's still some work going on, of course:

Let's check out the rest of this land of Fantasy:

First of all, here's another look at the recently-refurbished Enchanted Grove, which is now the Cheshire Cafe':

A new seating area has been added next to the building:

The Fantasyland wall has been moved a bit.

Snow White will have to relocate soon:

    Cinderella Castle:

This is another great castle (by the way, where can you find this picture? HINT: It's in a building located near "Snow White's Scary Adventures..."):

Three windows have been changed up to install new interactive elements for the Magic Kingdom's new game:

    This is one of them:

Do you see that little house right in front? Well, we may see Tinkerbell over there...

There will surely be also a bird in that cage (notice the glass that will be used for the projection):

    This is the second window:

    Nothing to see here yet:

And this is the third window, located next to "La Fontaine de Cendrillon":

    It is very elaborate:

And this concludes our new Fantasyland update. We hope you enjoyed the photos!

First of all, let's take a look at the great Beauty and the Beast area:

Nothing new on the Fantasyland Castle Walls. We had already reported on our last update that part of the walls have now received some themed elements:

    Beast's Castle:

Take a look at the new, themed doors that will soon open to a whole new dining experience:

    Maurice's Cottage:

    Belle's Village:

The roofs of these themed buildings are already great-looking:

The Little Mermaid's area is looking great as well:

    The rock formation. Beautiful:

Still some work to do here:

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride is still a big hole in the ground, as you can see:

Nearby, we noticed that the refurbishment of the Canopy of Prince Charming Regal Carrousel is done:

    It looks great:

Also, nothing new to report from the Skyway:

Still working on the new path between Liberty Square and Fantasyland:

    Storybook Circus is looking good:

Work is being done on the roof of the two main queues for the two Dumbo rides:

The main tent of the new Double-Dumbo ride (which will house the interactive queue) is now completely encircled by scaffolding:

The old circus tents are completely being re-done. A new cover is being installed on both of them:

Another look at the new trusses:

    The Storybook Circus Train Station:

The barn of the Great Goofini:

We'll close this update with a comparison of the old and the new bases of the two Dumbo rides:

    Old (current) Dumbo:

The storks on the old Dumbo:

    The new base:

    See you soon, Magic Kingdom!:

Re: New Fantasyland expansion photos - post them here!

The new Fantasyland is quickly taking shape, and more new details and additions appear every week behind the walls. Let's have a look at the latest work that has been done in the area, with our first stop being the former Fantasyland Skyway, which is now almost completely surrounded by a partially-themed wall. Let's see:

No work appears to have been done on the Skyway structure itself:

    At least, not yet:

The new walls are still not completely enclosing the area, as the stroller parking is still open:

    Behind the walls. Literally:

We surely hope this new path will not create more congestion, as the area where the path will end is right next to an attraction, a shop, and a restaurant:

A look at the recently-refurbished top of Prince Charming's Regal Carrousel:

Strangely, the roof present quite a few imperfections:

Progress on the new Fantasyland walls:

The big posters on the walls have all disappeared. We are really approaching the opening date:

    Maurice's Cottage:

    The Beast's Castle:

A close look at the fantastic rock-work:

Gaston's Village (also known as Belle's Village):

    The loooong Fantasyland wall:

Lots of planters can be found along the wall:

Take a look at the beautiful crown that has been installed on the column (near the big entry arches):

The attention to details is great:

The rock-work of the attraction's exterior is almost complete:

Now, let's move on to Storybook Circus:

Dumbo's Circus has now been partially painted yellow:

    From the Tomorrowland Speedway:

    One of the two queues:

The new Dumbo ride lurks in the corner:

It is really much nicer than the current one:

Beautiful (the ride, not the picture itself... sorry for the blurry photo):

    The Great Goofini Coaster:

The older tents now have the complete new interior cover:

    Over the walls:

What are all those papers? Projects? Maybe (for a larger picture, CLICK HERE):

Snow White's Scary Adventures is still open, and that's good:

It looks like the Seven Dwarfs Mine shop will be closing soon, though, as the main sign in front of the store has been removed (and it is not likely to come back):

The signs on the two sides are still there:

A look around the small store (since it is leaving):

We've asked around, and according to a source, this store might not even be a store after it closes down. We cannot think of anything else fitting in this cramped space:

We might soon have to say goodbye even to the seasonal Friar's Nook:

All the queue railings have been completely removed. Not a good sign:
