    Toy monorails

Not to be a buzzkill, but just to offer a warning to people who may give in and buy the toy monorail they sell at the Parks. THEY BREAK VERY EASILY! This applies to the small metal ones, not the big battery operated set. I know they break easily as we have owned one toy monorail in every color and each one has broken. The monorail cars break apart as your kid plays with it. If you look on the bright side, breaking the monorail makes four smaller monorails. We have tried to repair them with paper clips, wire, glue to no avail. They look good but do not hold up to normal play. They cost $15 each a couple of years ago. I would suggest to those who want to play with the toy monorails, to buy your kid the Disney/Matchbox bus. They cost $10 and hold up well.

    Re: Toy monorails

I have heard from other people that the monorail breaks easily. That's really too bad. I've seen it in the stores and it's so cute.

I wonder why Disney would continue to market such a fragile product to children.

Thanks for moving the thread to the right spot!

The monorails would be nice on your collector's shelf; just not strong enough to make circles on the living room rug.
