The nice thing about Earl of sandwich is that it is something different then the other typical counter service menu items. I thought it was good value for what you got. (agreed probably a little uninspired but I was happy for something basic)

My favorite restaurant(s) (it changes every vacation) was O'Hana with Reglan a close second.

O'Hana - liked the food and atmosphere

Reglan Road - was a pleasant surprise - I didn't want to go there at all - someone else picked and I ended up loving it. Would recommend to anyone - just a little loud - so of looking for something quiet not the place to go.

Oh ok my bad messed that one up... I couldn't tell what DD this thread was referring to I thought it was for either park in general? I guess because I didn't see it listed under WDW.

    Re: Favorite Restaurant?

I love Bongos. Raglan Road seems fun too, but I've never eaten there. I do take the kid in and let her watch the band at night (just ask at the front and they'll let you do it)

T-Rex / Rainforest / Planet Hollywood are all ok, but I'd like something that's a bit different for a trip. I can get comparable food here in Atlanta, so I see no reason to go there anymore now that I've done all three once.

Now that more DD restaurants are taking the dining plan, I really hope to try some other places this trip, but we shall see. Maybe Wolfgang Pucks?

The Wolfgang Puck dining room is terrific. (There is also a quick serve WP Express, but I have never tried it.) great food, nice presentation and for drinks- the lemon drop is fantastic! We went there after seeing La Nouba on our last trip and it was the perfect end to a wonderful day.

I was only able to get a lunch reservation for there. Think my kids will love it!

For DTD, definitely Bongos is high on my list. I love Cuban food, and they do it exceptionally well there.

I've been wanting to try Bongo's but haven't gotten around to it yet. What are the best dishes?

I had a late dinner at the Raglan Road bar once. The food was quite good and they had a step dancer and live music.

I love Raglan too. I try to sneak in there with the kid to observe the entertainment, but haven't eaten there yet. Food did look good though, and now that they accept the dining plan, I certainly will check them out next trip.

    For Bongos...

    Appitizers

I get the ceviche. It is really good. The Cuban roll is also very good, as are the tamales.

    Entrees

Vaca Frita is always good (literally...fried steak), but I prefer the Filete de Pescado a la Cantalana. Basically, it's a lightly fried fish served with rice and sweet plantains, with a creole sauce.

They also have very good sandwiches, like a Cuban sandwich (of course) and the media niche, which is a ham and Swiss...very tasty. The bread is unbelievable.

I always add a cup of black beans to the meal, and mix with the rice. So good.

    Dessert

The tres leches cake and the flan are both very good. I prefer tres leches though.
