    Discovery cove questions

I will be going to swim with the dolphins. I had one concern and that is about glasses. Can I wear them everywhere in the park or is there a limitation??

    Thanks!

I'd go to the optomistrist and get yourself some contacts, for various reasons. The last thing you want to fiddle with is glasses.

That doesn't always work- not everyone can wear contacts (including myself).

I'm pretty blind on my own, so I can't imagine how blind you are. <grin>

They don't allow loose items in the dolphin pools so I'd imagine glasses are a no-no in there.

Maybe give them a call to check though as I'm not 100%.

Very. Without my glasses on, I can't see more then a foot away without everything being blury. I'm waiting until the day when I can get Lasik

I'd give them a call if I were you just to check. No jewellery is allowed in the pools as the dolphins like shiny things. I wear glasses all the time as my eyesight is poor but I usually just opt out of wearing them when we're in with the dolphins. The dolphin is right next to you so you should be ok for seeing it up close. You'll struggle to see the others in the group when they do the actual swim though.
If you can dream it you can do it.....

We swam with dolphins there In 2009 and she wore her glasses, mind she can't swim but did swim in the shallow but with the dolphin!

When we went swimming with the dolphins in sept 2012 I forgot my contact lenses an when I mentioned this to the dolphin trainer she said to wear my glasses in the dolphin pool as I will want to see my dolphin!! So a definite yes you can wear your glasses in all parts of discovery cove although obviously its a bit difficult while swimming/snorkelling! Lol hope this helps x

I feel ya. It's about 4 feet for me!

Do you think they'd allow sports goggles? Youknow, the kind with the elastic strap that secures them to your head?

Either that or you could ask lens crafters or something if they make prescription goggles?

I hope you enjoy swimming with the dolphins, sounds like a blast!
